I was looking for love in him
I have felt so empty and alone
I wanted him to repair all the broken pieces of me,
That I expected him to solve all  my problems,
And fix my insecurities
But I have to love myself first
And get together with my broken parts
I am the Invisible Other.
I live unnoticed, unheard,
marginally on peripheries.
I am different by color
or language or belief.
Regarded with condescending
contempt, or stinging
indifference, I am a transparent
person, a bad dream that fades in
the light of artificial reality.

Do you wonder at my anger?
Look!  See my face!
If I call your name, will you answer?
No.  I don't think so.
I know my place.
I've learned my role, and
I play it well.
I am the Insignificant Other.

I live in the patronizing shadow
of your self-interested arrogance.
It is a cold place, abandoned even
by inherent instincts to love or to care.
Deserted by decency, it is a place
where tears turn to dust and hope
dies young on the vine.
I am the Other.
I am here.

Whatever you are, whatever I am
Let us just be. Together.
Then call it a day.  No, call it a lifetime.
I’m tired of smiling without you.

Even the days you feel your most broken, you will still be the only pieces I need.

Love, you turn minutes into moments and those moments become my most precious memories
the less we desire
the richer we are
but what is a life
lacking in desire?
must we become robots
to be enlightened?
or is there a place between
obsession and indifference
where happiness flourishes?
when I weep you are my shoulder to lean on
when I ache you take the pains away
when I'm lonely you keep me company
when I'm cold you keep me warm
when I'm sad, you lift my spirits
when I frown, you make me smile

I'm thankful for a sister like you
you do things so many others cannot do
but most of all
when I feel all else fails
you are there
to say
''I  love you''
dedicated to  Lorie with much love
sat down next you, with my head right on your chest i
figured out the frequency of your heartbeat
so me singing for you is ironic
...because i actually love you
Through all this strife
We create life
It's not wrong or right
It's humanity's plight

Whether it's with a wife
Or a stranger
We create life
Despite danger

There is a new addition
He could end repetition
Of negative patterns
And social ladders
But there is a competition
Between the new editions
Of positive versus negative
He'll be the one ahead of it

In a world plagued with stabbings
By the greedy money grabbing
Not to mention the beastly bombings
That endear retribution wronging
And elusive peace longing
There is a birth
Amongst death
That makes it worth
That first breath
Which provides hope in promise and potential
When they could be the positive differential
That could change this planet
And the hearts made of granite

We are born screaming
And never stop
We find ways of teaming
To be cops
Imposing our will on others
Through fascist force
There are many ways to cover
How this ruins discourse
But I sense a new sheriff in town
Our old ways he'll bury in the ground
He might be one or two now
But he'll change the world and I don't know how
For he brings hope
To a world with none
He helps me cope
A compassionate son
He'll make the world brighter
By not being a fighter
In a world of strife
He'll create life
