there are
these things
called words

I trace your name in smoke
as my cigarette burns down to
my fingers

I flick ash furiously away from me
because I will not find you
in embers

I miss the way you made my coffee
in the morning
The way you told me it was bad for me
yet you’d still pour

that thick black liquid, into my chipped mug
that I refused to throw away

I hope you find me, here
I am sitting under the stars we named
after each other

I will not move
until I feel your hand slice into mine
and the stars flicker

signalling a new chapter

I really hate
the chemicals in your brain
Uneven and
Unforgiving
They’re giving you a hard time today

it wasn't until the sun rose
that I realized
just how much
I was in love with the moon

You
You said you were ugly, you are not.
You said you were worthless, you are not.
You said you were sad and broken, let me help you out.
You said you were feeling down and depress, I'll fix you up.

You make my emotions function continuously, you still do.
You make me loyal with no feeling of remorse, you still do.
You made me feel that there's no one else, you still do.
You left me there standing all alone, you still do.

You are the one that I will keep fighting for, that is my oath.
You are the one that I'm willing to fix, forever and ever.
You are the one that I still wish for, my only dream.
You are the one that can make me fall, my one weakness.

You keep diminishing your self worth, I still believe in you.
You keep saying you are not worth it, I'll make you think otherwise.
You finally recovered from you broken state, I'm very proud of you.
You denied me access to be part of your world, you still do....

i am not a vibrant ocean blue
nor as pink as the sunset sky

i am not the daughter you watched grow
nor will i ever be a guy

i am not anything you said I'd be
instead, I am simply me

he had drowned
on solid ground
and
she breathed in
to resuscitate him again

it was
no longer novel
to be
lovewrecked and left
picking up
his sea of empty bottles.

and so bless my dreams
for indulging what's not mine

Look at the stars
I am looking at them too
But your skin and bones
All so beautiful

I drew lines for you
Lines turned to words
Words to prose...
All so beautiful.

All so beautiful
Your cries and laughs
The unique curvature
All so beautiful.

I can love you more
I can slip into your bedroom at night
With your lights turned out
See you sleeping softly under the covers
Your face, lovely as ever
Your hair, an incomparable treasure
Your lips so seamlessly dreamy
Come to you, whisper caring words
In your left ear, hear your breath rise and fall
Get into bed with you, my arms enclosing you
Keeping you warm as I fall asleep with you
