But...

You're ****** up in every way
And that's what makes you more perfect
You've made mistakes day by day
But I'm always here to say you're worth it

You drank to relieve the pain
And smoked cigarettes to fill up your lungs
You covered yourself in tattoos from fingers to arms
But there's always that person reminding you of the wrong you've done

You swore to carry on
Past the judgements and mistaken looks
The ***** stayed to help and so did I
But somehow that never helped, and so your life, you took

Your smile remained, along with your love
Your laugh, your touch
Your courage was there
But something wasn't enough

You kissed me and it tasted like death
Of whiskey, recklessness and cigarettes
Your heart, it continued to beat less
But on this day, I never knew I'd be all alone because you left

You offed yourself that night
It was summer, and the moon was out
A tight rope, with relief in your eyes
You said you'd carry on
But here we are, you and I

Blackest night
I awaken breathless
No puddle of light
Only darkness
As the voices swirl around my feeble mind
“No more! No more!”
Screaming at the top of my lungs
He whispers back
They all whisper back
Whispers of an abhorrent kin
Writhe in mercurial rhythms
Claw at my frail skin
A liquid most sanguine pouring out from ancient scars
When will it all end?
Their faces, their faces!
The apparitions, the hallucinations
No eyes, no pity
I am transfixed and horrified
Cackling in my misery and despair
Mass hysteria catches in my throat
Words fail me
Never escape these four cushioned walls
I finally realize
I’m never going home
Inspired by what I learned in my psych class :) Enjoy!
she tells me she wants to go to the beach
on a day where we may each have the time off
i tell her "of course, i'd love to"
when really in my head i want to tell her
"i would take every **** day off just to go anywhere with you".
the beach, DMV, a gravel parking lot, my mother's abandoned apartment, her father's old high school, the desert, a hospital waiting room, her wealthy indecisions.

My mind just stopped and couldn't
Think of any other thought but you.
I miss you
But someday soon
My aim will improve
Imagine what it would be like if we all got alone
What it would be like if we made everyone feel that they belonged
Imagine what a world we would have
If we could all get alone and forget about the past

Imagine what you could do if you smiled today
Say something kind and make somebody's day
Imagine the possibilities and the lives you could change
You could make someone feel good what a beautiful thing

Imagine what you could do
How many lives you could change
Imagine the possibilities
What a beautiful world we could have; with just a little change
