Spider
Mitch Davis May 2017
Words trapped in a web of deceit,
Ready to be eaten by a hateful society.
Quick on their feet, so fast to judge;
And I sit and I think,
What should I do to stay true?
But also avoid the painful realities
That lie before me.
How do I find a new way to better days?
The web is strong,
But it's not indestructible.

In the end we all
die on judgement day, whether
its God or the Nuke.

Night Room Pt. 1
Mitch Davis Apr 2017
Crazy Jeanie sat in her house,
Crying every night.
For she thought she was young
And she thought she was fun,
But really she was just crazy.

When she was a child
Her abuse was wild
And it messed her up completely

Now she is old,
And eats too much mold
Because her brain is rotten.

Bad Husband

Little can be said
About that dress stained blood red.
Him, evil--her, dead.

Until the End
Mitch Davis Apr 2017
She dropped me back down to the earth.
I landed on red dirt.
The powerful wind from her wings pressed
Warm summer air against my face.
She was as beautiful as ever.
Just as the day I fell for her ploy.
She lied to me.
Had me believe I could change for her;
And be accepted into the golden gates.
But nay was true.
For I am forever a sinner,
And she is of course,
Unable to commit sin.
Sent to earth by God
To defeat powerful and ugly demons.
But she could not save me from them,
For I am one.
My wings are black and leathery,
And do not let me fly.
Hers are white and brilliant,
And do not let her cry.
Both cursed to eternally corrupt each other.
Both too loyal to our own ways.
An angel and demon burdened with love,
Until the end of days.
