You told me to write whenever something inspired me
So I wrote about how you loved me
despite all my faults

And I've been spilling myself on these pages
Trying to find the right things to say
But now I'm drained empty

I tried writing about whats keeping me alive all this time
When i had every reason not to breathe
I ended up writing your name

You were my anchor
Holding me down through the night
When the storms hit the hardest

I promised I would never write about you
I never needed to immortalize someone who I would never forget

When i drifted away you pulled me closer
Having your hand to guide me
I find the light
Please dont leave me in the dark
when we remember
what the times have been
that made us into what
    and who
    we are today
we travel deep into our past
to hear our mother’s voice
our father’s not so friendly gripes
when we fouled up a task he gave to  us

our friends, our teachers, our loves
whose interactions shaped
who we eventually have become
while we believe that we have always been
     so independent and  autonomous

it may be worth a moment to reflect
     upon the influences
we are inclined to casually neglect
and recognize the fact
     that we are always part
     of that great whole
     which we so desperately try
     to disavow for individuality

only to recognize a few years later
the minimal common denominator

life is a wonderful excursion into space and time
always surprising, turning on a dime,
leaving us puzzled well unto the end
always intent to look beyond
the next bend of the river …….

I didint come
To
Reason
I came
To make
Poetry
From
Poetic
Symphonies.
We rise
only to fall
angels
gone to ground
in the sweet loam

honor the bones
let silt become
the raw clay
to re-form
our souls
We fail, we fall, we learn, and are reborn...
Elven pipers gather and play at the foot of Dawn , ice sickle wind chimes begin to sound !
Gray clouds and brown leaves begin to swirl together as Twinkle Sugarbells mirthfully shakes the 'Snow Globe of Winter ..'
Couples bundled up with green coats , red scarves and brown mittens !
Smiling youngsters ride toboggans down snow encrusted hills !
Hot chocolate and warm cinnamon milk dabs a rosy glow on young faces !
Ordinary forest and backyards turn into magical places !
Snowmen pop up in every yard just like magic with sweater button eyes , Oak branch hands and Pine straw mustaches .

I woke up naked
somewhere between you and me.

I must have been a tiny spider, curled up,
unfolded my limbs,
sweat adhesive for the sheets.
Liquefied myself
again.

You play with my tongue,
melding
with my spit
and my lungs.

I must have been a wind chime, swaying silently,
chest quivering, bare ******* showing,
wrists cracking, still trying to unwind.

I woke up naked
and swallowed you whole.

At night we were a fresco
painted by an astronaut, our
messy bed the chapel of a
voyeuristic God, where glory
worked with hurried hands
in frenzied fellowship and
hallelujah was a sigh that
quivered on my lips, then we
nodded off like angels of our
own apocalypse; it was made-up
love, when we woke up,
the dreamed up stuff of kids.
A refurbished oldie. Feeling nostalgic.
