words ramble like running feet in your mind

memories always fade in time

we put our hearts on the line
we lost it and now its too dark to find
the very place we left off

we let the wind spread out hair
we never seemed to care
about the fights left unsolved and unfair
we know what we found is rare

who knew how soon our love would wear
who knew how soon the winter made us cold
we took the time to unfold
our bodies always fit our mold
even when we lie miles apart
I know you'll always have a piece of my heart

like wood we drift away
in separate seas
tides spin the days change color in the leaves
you're the only one who still flees
you're not the only one who still believes
it’s quiet and i hear nothing but the snowflakes
hit the fabric on my shoulder
i hear nothing but the paper
burn as my inhale imitates the gust of
wind that guides the cold to shutter skin —
street lights sit above the lit, white-flowered flakes
as they dance to the ground as a group
that whisper soliloquies to the crimson
lobes that hear nothing but the snowflakes
hit the fabric on my shoulder,
a hazy fog covers the air before my face
as it sways from nostril to upper lip —
a sight down to an illuminating ash,
blinking to meet a lid to whited lash —
as the paper burns
the smokey sky is content
with silence and nothing more
than a look to the fields                             MJB
Part one of a two parted, emotionally ambiguous, duo poem.

Born
These stars sim darker
These heart was just massacred
These thoughts are forever taunting
These life is worse than death

Tell you something you don't know
these soul can be thistled
keep, keeping running and landing on thorns
your stared with thoughts of being devoured

decades ago
he sang you tales of stealth
but darkness, can be stronger
this is war
and cowards, are the only ones who are possessed with fear

They will write anthems of your courage
sing songs of your strength
perform poems to your broken widows
your progeny, will know of your suffering and sacrifice
'a beautiful dalliance indeed'

You armor yourself with solitude
instead of golds they offer you
they are gone
but they took you with them "it Sims"

The bishop says
your just a devil among angels
but deep, deep down
he knows your an angel among demons
Thinking by myself**

For how long was I Afraid
Of my own Destiny.
Fearing I would fade
Loosing my identity

I was living on isolation
Afraid of what I'll lose
Afraid of sweet temptation...
What a lame excuse.

lemon
wanted to talk to you
kept stumbling over my words
like they were too large rocks
on the gravel road that I'm running on
you got bored trying to figure out what i was struggling to say
so you walked away
couldn't figure out how to say
you make me feel safe
