We are all travelers
Journeying through life
Seeking to visit new places
Destinations, where we stop
Momentarily, and then pursue
We arrive but we do not reach
We travel outside, never within
Are we familiar with the road
Which leads us to our inner self
Hopelessly seeking approval
As we are our approver…Realize
Till now, journeying in wrong direction
Forgetting the familiar alleys
They lead us, to us
For the journey is from inwards
Then moving to the outside world
Seek the destination within
For it will lead you to the right direction
Kindle the light within
And, it will guide you through the darkness
Carry the light within, to seek the path
We are all travelers

I pour myself in my words,
Leaving behind black stains.
Common *** for common man
Leave passion for the poet

A woman is reduced to the ***** of her curves

to the dimensions of her ****** features

but whoever dares calculate those

should be assigned a paper big enough,

a mind smart enough,

to help them figure out the boundless extent

of the vastness of the paradise that lies under her feet.
-in islam, mothers are said to have heaven lying under the soles of their feet -
Day 1
Melancholic,
Color blind,
Running through the streets of thoughts,
Oh, what's happening to my mind?!

Day 2
Sullenness,
Black magic,
Falling into my own shadows,
Am I covered by a dark fabric?!

Day 3
Lighthearted,
Full of joy,
But still held back by these strings,
Thinking again, what's the big ploy?!

Day 4
Resignation,
And jubilation,
Delight in the shades of orange and gray,
Is this what people called, the salvation?!

Day 5
Hopeful,
With a new day,
Fluttering my wings for a long flight,
Will I escape this ridiculous play?!

Day 6
Spirited,
Spread of wings,
As I gather all my might,
I think, will I finally break the strings?!

Day 7**
Euphoric,
Boundless delight,
Colors come rushing back to the sky,
Alas, I fly out of the night!
Fury found in eyes that glare,
Fuming sheets that smoulder;
Clenched, my fist once did hold
A love, but now a soldier.

     Meet me in the morning,
Just as the sun will rise,
And there we'll mark our paces,
And pledge our love won't die.

Search in autumn shorelines,
I'm standing in the sand;
Found guarding my own pill-box,
With destruction in my hands.

Meet me in the time of love,
     Will you be my second?
Relieve my eyes that guard a fancy,
     Release a heart so fecund.

Leave me shrouded in the evening mist,
Help the shooting stop.

Now leaves are yellowed with vericose veins,
And loosen with arthritic hands;
Our one-time love lifts with the night,
I've lost you once again.
Forgetting someone is like forgetting to turn off the light
in the backyard so it stays lit all the next day

But then it is the light that makes you remember.
