We're dying to live and yet we're living to die.
Just thinking out loud.
A walk down the road,?
Sand in my slippers,?
With broken straps,
?Life just raps!??

Borrow a cycle,?
Ride it fast,
?With punctured tyre,?
Life's a satire!?

?Neighborhood fights,?
Matches every night,?
Scoreline's tight,?
Life is so bright!

??Steal a pen,?
For the next day examination,?
Cheat a bit,?
Life is sometimes ****!??

Curse Mommy's food,?
Don't know what to do,?
Anyways have to eat,?
Life is so sweet!??

Whistling I roam,
?On the ***** roads,?
Drool over the dimple,?
Life is so simple!
A shapely cargo ship,
bobbing on waves with urgency,
mating with the lurking fog of dusk,
dissolves uncontrollably
in to an, intense ******* frenzy,
that swirls  like waves of darkness
screams out  ecstatic, loud.
The vivacious little girl
occupying the table next, with her parents
counts me too, someone close to her
I don't know, what prompts this,
or why she wants to cheer me up.

Smiles at me like I am an uncle
lost for long and now found by chance,
offers a bite from her candy
with a conspiratorial wink.

Its a pity I lost touch
with that part of my psyche
that used to act like a kid
and rejoice, without a thought'
when something like this happens.

Yes, things change
you may not even sense it,
I suddenly realize.

I just look away and see
a bleak cloud fully lost all morning flush
at the corner of the sky limping forward,
dissolving little by little.

I once painted a dartboard in the corner of a room.
Half on one wall, half on the other; hit bullseye every time.
I thought I had found an answer.

I once jumped out of an airplane.
Nowhere to go but down.
That wasn't the answer, either.

I once walked a trail bordered by a swift river and a sheer cliff.
I could go where I had already been, or someplace else.
I found the answer.

Tomorrow is as bright as a porch light under the new moon
I am the moth throwing myself against it
Begging to be consumed

Death has no carriage
His cloak, a blanket,
He lies underneath, catching souls like falling snow
Some curse his inattention,
Others are just grateful for a place to land

They say it feels like drowning
But I am hovering somewhere between earth and sun
In equal hopes of home
And glorious Home

Caught in silent suffocation
I am tethered fast to both
Unmoving,
Unmoved.
