Thrumming life-threads are weaving the day,
Myriad summer colours of an abstract view,
Curling up between and under the far away.

I’m lost in the mix, a melting *** full of play,
My own shade of Dark, a subtle blended hue,
Thrumming life-threads are weaving the day.

Beautiful retro splendour, asking me to stay,
Flower in her hair, white petals, edged blue,
Curling up between and under the far away.

Smiling, she raises my soul from feet of clay,
Dark and Stormy cocktail easing me through,
Thrumming life-threads are weaving the day.

Cuban rhythm dancers give a riotous display,
Bohemian sight and sound unleashed on cue,
Curling up between and under the far away.

We sample dreams from an enchanted tray,
Allowing hearts, minds, and spirits to renew,
Thrumming life-threads are weaving the day,
Curling up between and under the far away.

After meeting my muse, I wrote her a villanelle. Not easy to write, but a step up from the sonnet, methinks, if only in difficulty. As always, anyone brave enough to try one, be true to your thoughts, allow yourself to flow forth and it will be good, it will be you, nobody can argue with that.
I ate all the stars last night
every single one
Then I had a comet cone for dessert
Now I have starburn
and I'm burping up rays of light
that sunburn my throat

The comet cone was too sugary
So I let it spew away
Now I have to learn
all the new constellations
And of course
it's all Confucius

on a hill stood wicked tree
a single root, branches three

one branch was war
one branch was want
one branch was greed
horrid haunt

its root was pride
its power great
acid soil of perfect hate

its bark like scabs
sulfuric green
a stunted growth
twisted . mean

lichen of ignorance
crusted there
on the north side
of despair

black mushrooms
sprouted from its pores
growing from
starvation's spores

and yet it thrived and gave its fruit
they were put forth by the root

these carried seeds to plant in season
they want it growing for some reason

they plant it lone upon a hill
where it can grow
it's growing
still

it grows from you
it grows from me
we feed that hateful

wicked tree

Can he get angry
Without being convicted
Can she cry
Without being rejected

When she's hurting
Does he feel the pain
Is she fanning
The lover's flame

Is she suspicious
When he's late at work

Does he still embrace her
When she's at her worst

At the end of the day
Is he still the one
Whose fiery passion
Could melt the sun

When the day is dark
Is she still the one
Whose brilliant smile
Could pale the sun*

True love's the hope
We most all cling to
But to find it
We* must first be true

For we won't find it in strength
Inspiring awe
We find it in weakness
In the ugliest flaws
Summer heat burnt
raised eyebrow
there’s no water
says the roof’s crow.

Filled are the ponds
dried weeded
forgotten bonds
pleas unheeded.

Everywhere searched
not a drop to drink
feeble throat parched
on the death’s brink.

Pleads the crow begs
I cannot wait
with little eggs
waits my mate.

Weeps my soul
don’t stand aloof
keep a small bowl
water on roof.
