Monsters

When I was little
I was scared
Scared of the monsters living under my bed
I used to hide, under my blanket
Under my blanket, I was safe
The monsters couldn’t reach me under my blanket

My parents used to say
The monsters would go away
I would grow up and that then they would leave

But I grew up
And the monsters didn’t leave
Turns out my monsters, grew with me
Now instead of under my bed
The monsters live inside my head

So I hide, under my blanket
Where I think I am safe
Wondering if after all this time
My blanket can still keep the monsters at bay

I wanted to see the sunrise.
Instead I laid in bed and watched
as my windows slowly let in
more and more light. Maybe tomorrow,
I'll watch the sunrise. Maybe tomorrow,
I'll crawl out my window. Maybe tomorrow,
I'll take pictures of the sunrise and
it'll be worth it.
I'll always want to see tomorrow
even if I dread every second of today.
I want to see tomorrow
and capture it.

Sometimes tomorrow is the only reason I get through today.
Wherever there’s light,
There’s also a shadow like a lonely night,
Then I wonder how we forget to see the light,
Even when it shines so bright…

Life has a funny way,
Of making sure you fall
But here's to the people
Who manage to smile through it all.

They called me weak,
Told me I would never be strong
But as I got up, they realized,
They couldn't have been more wrong.
I'm strong

Even in the darkest hours of the night
Even when you want to throw the fight
When your vision is black and blue
I will be there to help you through

Even when shadows will not leave
I will cast them back, call reprieve
Even if your heart does grieve
I will do what I can to relieve
The aching in your chest
Remove the heavy vest
Together we can protest
The wrongs done to you
Release your words into the blue
Let's take the first step, and follow through

Come with me, and together we shall see
The great things that are meant to be
So come on now, you can talk to me
And maybe we can both agree
On a path to set you free

Even when the days seem so long
Just remember back to this song
Here in this moment, you belong
Even if you don't feel all that strong
We can find what went wrong
And do what is right for you
Take the steps, and let's follow through

It's okay to get lost sometimes
It's okay not to know the way
Just take a step, take a chance
Just remember these little rhymes
And I will be there to help you through the hard times

Even in the midst of your despair
Just give me a call, and I'll be there
Even when you want to throw the fight
Just hold on tight, I'll help you get through the night

Take my hand, and I'll guide you through
Be the light, and walk with you
Even when you feel you're all alone
You don't have to do it all on your own
I am here for you, and I'll help you through
No matter the time of the day
No matter the things that they say
Right beside you, I will stay

Even when the bridge starts to sway
I will guide you on your way
Even when you tell me to go
I care about you more than you know
With you I'll stay, with you I'll stay
No matter the hour of the night
Even if you want to throw the fight
Just take my hand, hold on tight,
And I'll get you through the night

Even when the days seem too long
Just remember this song
Here in the moment, you belong
Even if you don't feel all that strong
We can find what went wrong
And do what is right for you
Take the steps, and let's follow through

It's okay to be lost sometimes
It's okay not to know the way
So take a step, take a chance
Remember these little rhymes
And I will help you through the rough times

Oh dare be the happy girl
Go soar the world with glee
And never fear the things they say
For rich in life you’ll be

And don’t you know the happy girl
Is prettiest by far?
***’ all her imperfections
Are just kisses from a star

The happy girl will never age
Those sunspots on her cheeks
Are badges from the mountain tops
And hot Havana weeks

You’ll love to be the happy girl
The stories of a muse
Are preciously adorning her
In form of scars and bruise

When you become the happy girl
You’ll love yourself so well
That everyone will love you too
Because it’s clear to tell

The happy girl knows how to play
Might find her in a tree
Or beaches combed for shells and teeth
or dancing near the sea

I challenge you, the happy girl
Although I never could
I hope you’ll sail much farther than
The sad girl ever would

Like the sunrise
Rise every morning
To light up your world

Like the sky
Be new and seek new experience every day

Like the wave of the ocean sweep off the shore
Sweep your miseries
And rise as a new wave

Like the rain
Washes the dust off the leaves wash your pain
And blossom as a flower

Like the trees die and grow again
Die to your past and grow as a brand new you

Like the sunset
Be the light that illuminates the lives of others

Like the birds
Learn to fly and be free

Like nature act your role
Study nature,It conveys a lot about life.
