i pleaded
i wanna go home
i cried
please take me back home
but my father-
he said no
he said it's too early
i need to do my homework
i have to pass the test
he wants me to learn more
he hopes to see me finish it
finish it well

i pleaded
take me home
he said no
finish it well
do the homework ive given you on earth
pass the tests, the trials so you'll learn
learn more about me, about them, about life
it's too early, you aren't ready
you can't force or choose
your own graduation date
you can't decide when it's time to go home

i pleaded
take me home
father said no
finish it well and
wait for the ring of the bell
and i'll welcome you
here in heaven,
in my arms,
your home.

Golden light falls on a beautiful beach
warming the skin of olive colored surfers
The waves playing with their feet
tickling their toes as it comes up
to the point where land and sea meet
The noise of life surrounding them
waves crashing, birds chirping, children playing
What a beautiful day

Know No

Sometimes life gives you no's
there may not be a reasonable explanation
Not even a justification
Just a no
And you have to know how to deal with that

I feel like I am in a race against time
It's not even that I'm trying to get ahead
I just want to keep up
But every time I look ahead
I see time just effortlessly passing me by
I have to keep running
That poet, Jason James, has come perilously close to threatening me in a private message, and now I can't respond, or see his page.
But apparently, I "best shut my mouth."  Not sure what he meant by that, but I'm not shutting my mouth.
I think I might blink with a sarcastic tone

I despise myself for not being someone you could love.
