Needing to pull some cold hard cash at the atm,  I gave a cold glare at the homeless man sitting on the floor by the gas station outside near the entry way holding a sign.

Not out of hate or anger, but curious as to what he asked for on the sign he held, because I did not want him to know I had any compassion to a fellow humam being.

After pulling some money to leave the gas station premise, I  glared at the homeless man holding up the sign once again, but this time squared on the eyes, and then asked him what was the sign for.

"I'm looking to hitch a ride from Louisville to Lexington Kentucky, and then to Pennsylvania."

Still glaring at him with judging eyes, and wanted to hear the man talk. I proceeded to ask him.

"Is that all you are asking, nothing else?"

Giving me a desperate glare.
"Well, if cash, or anything will do, and if I was going to use it on alcohol, i'll generally tell people ill use it for that.

Became more curious I asked him if he had a meal yet?

He then nodded yes and he was okay.

I then gave him a smile and handed him a Alexander Hamilton. The homeless man thank me and promised he wouldn't use it for alcohal.

I told him "do as you like, I will not judge you!"

There is such a thing as love that require nothing, and expect nothing from a fellow human being. While I had no intention of judging the man, I had to be reserved in my curiosity, and I will not be a sucker to the people who abuse the system.

While the glare was unnecessary, I did not want to show my compassionate face that may have given the homeless man any teleprompting of my weakness to hear a sob stories, which I am a sucker to!

It was not my place to judge the man,
I been to rock hard bottom myself,
and some times give little isn't so bad!
When honesty is so hard to come by, it is refreshing to hear a man who has nothing more to lose speak his honest intent! Truly is it so wrong to give a helping hand, even if it is a moment?

With nothing worth living for,
They take terror on a daily tour.

If you see me fall, do not save me.

For I am learning to grow my wings again.

Because flying solo is the only thing I've ever experienced.

But if I see you fall, I will save you.

For you are hiding your wings from the world again.

But my world has never marveled at anything greater than your beauty.

We were apart and you were gone
That much was true
I never knew if it was permanent or temporary
I kept catching myself looking for you

Getting along without you, day to day
Wasn't anything especially difficult
We hadn't had a falling out
And I knew you were out there still
I just kept catching myself looking for you

Every time something made me particularly happy
I would want to share it with you
Even though I knew you weren't there
Whenever I felt sad, I would look for your support
Even though I knew you weren't there
Many times, I just sat there telling myself
"Everything is going to be okay"

I missed you and you became a perpetual daydream
More than I was comfortable admitting
I often pondered if you missed me as often as I did you

Our last kiss was savored
I knew at the time
There may never be another
The memory is vivid
As my lips touched your lips

As I write these words
I still wonder about you and how you are doing

The fire you lit inside of me still burns
Always offering some help finding your way back
Should you ever decide to tend the fire

I will always look for you
Because it is you that I am missing

gray rain
You were a light in the dark
but you had to depart
now I'm alone
wishing you'd come home
before the house is attacked
and you can't bring the light back

there's a knot in the middle of my spine -
a knot made with flaming fuchsia rope -
that i have never been able to untangle.

my fingers aren't able to reach it quite right;
no matter how much i rub or how far i arch my back against the mattress,
the knot remains as taut as a lifeline.

and i can't cut it loose also,
i don't leave no scars on my back for i have promised myself the blade's lips can kiss my wrist and my wrist only.

there have been people who have encountered me in this life to whom i have mentioned the knot.

a couple of people only nodded and avoided my troubled eyes.

some people have had the pleasure of fastening it even tighter.
experienced sailors with impressive tying skills,
that can secure an entire ship of agony and relentless torture to a worn and raw anchor as heavy as my body,
with the vessel of malicious fingernails and empty words.

most people have only soothed my aching back with gentle fingers;
caressed and patted the knot with a tight lip drawn upon the face
and pitied my sorrow with forbearing eyes.

no one has ever cared to untie the unforgiving knot.

no one has reached out to pull the burning end of the rope and set it loose.

no one has carelessly ripped out of me the sigh i have been guarding in the hollow of my throat for so long.

no one has set me free.

A knight dressed in his suit and  armor
grabs his sword and throws it into the air
hoping to get the light to hit it
to see where he must turn
as the sword go up it misses the light
instead in falls into the sea
for him this means it'll be his final battle
against the army to the east

he heads back home  to gather his army
but he finds his army has fled
So he gets back on horse
heads to his castle to get ready for the  final fight
he grabs his  sword holding it tight
he's gonna fight this war alone
his army they ran as fast they can
but for him he's keeping his honor and pride

off he rides to where his destiny lies
for he knows whats in store
if he shall die he's lived a honorable life
he continues his journey on
as he arrives at town
An army stands  with to many to count
He just laughs out loud holds up his sword
they begins to take the charge

he runs into them fast
swings his sword front and back
taking as many as he can with what he has
then an arrow strikes his heart
he keeps his smile as he fights on
until 2 more hit his chest
he takes his last breath
as he falls off his horse

with his final breaths
he just laughed then said
at least I die with peace
for I did not run I continued on
I fought for everything I believe
just like that he was gone in a flash
he died with honor and his pride
for this is a king who believed in destiny
