Please bear with me
'Til my words be read
I am not your enemy
No matter what I said

Relax now
Don't draw a mob
As I said before
I have no problem with your god

Blessed be the light
Of your darkest day
For I would never
   Ever turn you away

But sometimes
there are just somethings
I am compelled to say
Like for instance
  Even though you label me
I love you anyways...
Infidel, atheists, gnostic, sorcerer, I'm all  these things and so much more! (-;
An hour before sunrise,
not long before  going home-

It's still, no breeze, this Sunday morn-
silent......... serene-
As I step into the woods

I know they're watching,
those denizens of the forest-
Raccoon, possum, birds, etc.

I purse my lips
emit a soft whistle-
No reply
Another....no reply

A few more steps......then..
the soft 'coo' of the Mourning Dove-
"How gentle it is", comforting... in it's greeting

A raccoon appears in front of me,
the 'sentry' for the others, who are still hiding
In the underbrush, and in the trees.

They are "The Angels",
"You are safe with us", his eyes tell me-*
It is then I know,  it's going to be..... a "good day."

Until when do we,
have to hide away?
All we do is chase the day.
Do we stay or flee?

Farther we inch apart
to places we've never touch.
****, I will miss so much
the things we did at heart.

I'm indefinitely impatient
and you were inevitably,
indefinitely,
complacent.

How could it all end?
Two years of this.
All I wanted was your kiss.
But to you I'm just a friend.

It hurts to see.
You caught up,
while I was your backup.
I hated it. I didn't agree.
To the same boy my heart opened to that later on took it away from me. I wish it back.
No agony is greater than the yoke
Men fastened round my love
Her lines they bounded with metres
Her flow they have blocked with patterns and rhymes
Her end they constrain with rules
I crave the freedom to paint her as I deem fit
She's born of my thoughts and feelings
Sorrow would be less so
If there were rules to grieving
I'm breaking her rules
Life
And all its endeavors
Usually end in forever
But never
Surrender
Your smile
Death
Is an unjust
Punishment
But never
Surrender
Your smile
Power comes
When weakness grows
But never
Surrender
Your smile
Evil will triumph
A time or two
But never
Surrender
Your smile.

Because smiles have power
Smiles are infectious
Even when life is sour
Smiles' sweetness silently severs
Our connection to pain
Pleasantly putting to perspective
This putrid pestilence
We call progress.

So when you feel down
Never.
Surrender.
Your Smile.

When I Look at You

I see love.
I see
beauty.

God, how I love you.
Such
warmth, strength, and loyalty.

It emanates from your soul.

You were meant for me,
and I,
was meant for you.

This love,
this love is
everlasting.

I
will
love
you
always
and
forever.
A poem for my darling husband ...

Conflagration

Inferno.
Firestorm.
This is what I feel
in my heart of hearts.
It burns
and consumes
and turns me to ash and then,

like a wave,
my emotions
break and beach
and wash over you
and drown you.

Push and pull- these are the
the tides of my emotions,
and the moon is the cause,
and I moon over you and it pushes and pulls the waters on the shores of
my pathetic, insignificant
little soul.
What doesn't **** me makes me stronger. I still move with the push and pull of the tides...but don't we all?
