Elizabeth Squires
The Narcissist
an all consuming love
took hold of the
narcissist
his great admiration for self
was the everlasting
tryst
in front of the mirror he stood
kissing his own
reflection
whilst at it saying I'm so deserving
of my steadfast
affection
yes he was absorbed
in a love profound of
pond
this being the love he'd
keep fervently
fond
no one else could love him
with such a richness of
care
cause he was unable to
empathetically
share
the love he did bear inside
his overly indulgent

Jaxey
bedsheets
her voice
bent me
backwards
over the
bedsheets
every
syllable
spinning silk
into sea
as she drew
the breath
from my ears
and a symphony
from my lips
she turned my
twin bed
into titanic
along with me
and as I was
drowning
she was speaking
poetry
i will never forget

[ You do protect friends ]
You do protect friends,
for them, you accept to be –
someone's enemy.

The past no longer exist
The future will never be here
We will always be in this moment

We only have limited colours to paint with.
But the ability of the artist
Has no limits.
