Pumps life only to
Be blamed for the brain’s mistakes
And take a beating.

Don't die from old age,
It's illegal.
You'll be arrested,
Jailed for a life sentence
With no parole.
You must die from cancer,
Pnemonia
Or some other acceptable
And legal disease,
But not old age
With blunt sight,
Withering bascilli in windpipes,
Conflicted consciousness
With
Unsteady steps.
These must be symptoms
Of a greater malaise.
So,
Take heart,
You cannot die from old age.
It's illegal in N. America to die from old age.

Perhaps if I go back to sleep
I'll find that on the morrow
I will still be alive
and can wash this nightmare
from my soul
and begin anew--
I keep thinking...
perhaps in the morning
I can just let it all go...
morning comes in only an hour or two...
nightmare wakes me up and my mind keeps racing refusing to let it go...but maybe if I can make it til morning...thank god it's a weekend!

how does one word
hurt much?

Do you even need help
in carrying
the load,
the burden you
kept,
and the life
you're trying to
bury?

SOMETIMES answering one question
is just asking too much...
