Emma
And so she gave up,
She had given in to her thoughts,
The screaming demons in her head,
Begging her, pleading, "Just one more"
Until she got deep, her cries got louder,
her sleeves got longer,
She started to slowly fade away.
Nobody noticed, of course
they thought she was just feeling down,
except one day she went to the store,
for rope, breaking inside
nobody could see her shattered heart,
the way she smiled weakly at people,
And the thoughts screamed at her to use it,
"Coward, do it already"
So she did
And now shes still, lifeless
swaying side to side,
a kicked stool under her,
wrists ******,
All because of her thoughts,
they destroyed her
Just a little poem.. sorry for inactivity, depression :-( <3
We turn to poetry
to heal old wounds
and dream of
better tomorrows.

The Boys

Delaney
and it is never so apparent
as when
they pick a him, over me.
Worry about a boy, over me;
never me,
never me.

What are you doing
to him, they scream.
worry about his life
before your own.
who cares, who cares?
you surely don't, no,
you put yourself first
and that is not okay, young lady,
not okay,
never okay.

the hearts of boys matter
far more than the fragile mess
filling your chest cavity, yes,
it matters not what they did,
what they do,
how you feel,
them. Them, only,
only for them does it matter.

plaster on a smile,
false positive, love more, care more.
your fault. you made
this happen
to you.
never their fault, no,
never theirs,
for your actions are the problem, see,
young lady, you must compromise;
for the boys,
the boys who matter
much more, forever,
than you.

(d.d.b)
This might only ever make sense to me, and I might never share the backstories of this....but, here.
the life that I would have to live
to get out of the life that I have been living
requires more life than I have life to give
and more time than I was given
What's wrong if I have a car
that's just like yours.
My house and yard is free
of debris.
My fence is white
just like yours.

what's wrong?

I don't bother you at all
yet you dislike me.
I believe in freedom just
like you.
Why are you so right and
in your eyes everything
about me is so wrong.

what's wrong?

I love my children and
I do my best to teach
them the right way
to go.
Yet in your eyes they don't
deserve to have freedoms
like you want to claim for
yourself.

what's wrong?

What's fair is fair as it should
be for the world including
people like you and me.
Choose to see love and peace
yet you seek to destroy.
What's in your mind and
embedded in your heart
it's troubling to me.

what's wrong?
soft, in
day's darkening, when
a flower blooms
In winter, spring; perhaps the wonder, in beauty rising, out of all darkness.
Tonight he came to me, singing my name.
He, masked in mystery, hid away in shame.
From the shadows he reached for me,
tucked deep in my bed.
His longing eased inside of me,
his voice invading my head.
A streaming melody of loveless love,
an eternity with no one;
for fear of his face, a hideous disgrace.
His echoes yearn for someone.
Through the dark, I see you clear stranger of the night.
Without fear, we harmonize blissfully in twilight.

The violence of a beautiful soul -- staggering
18/04/2016
we are the ancient ones
rooted in the earth
heads rustling in the sky
moss growing on our trunks
on our limbs

conductors of our pulse
over this distance
this faraway
closeness

and should they fell you
I shall feed you honey
from our underground network
should you not sprout again
I shall build a hive in your trunk
buzzing with life
and should the hive desert you
leave you petrified
I shall unfurl beneath you
cradling your vintage pages
