Hot chocolate and marshmallows,
The warmth of the blanket,
The sizzling kisses,
Socks and mittens,
Two bodies tangled together,
Heavenly touching and caressing,
Assimilating their thoughts through every stroke,
Loving each other severely.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
Money in the pocket of the biggest shareholder

Day by day, we grow older
Love is lost, hearts grow colder

So while you still can, you should hold her
Say what you feel, before you wish you'd told her

Don't stash your dreams away, in that folder
As you care less what they think, you'll get bolder

Listen to those, who need a shoulder
Let her live, don't try to mold her

Don't sell your soul, for something golder

Show me that you're an animal
Make me cry
Your eyes glow in the night
You run through the jungle with your pride on your sleeve.
Isn't life too sweet?
Their king has risen and there's a lump in my throat.
Will you cry when I read out the poems I have written?
You're manuscripts waiting to be deciphered,
lanterns waiting to be lit,
a storm ready to start,
With you, I am the happiest I have ever been.
You're an animal ready to ****.
The way you look
The way you look at me
The way you see
It is all so enticing
I keep repeating
Like it is some kind of puzzle piece
And I'm trying to find where it fits
I don't know
I'm stupid, I should be able to say what I know and what I want
Yet I can only repeat and rhyme
Calling it poetry, yet it is a sad excuse on all levels
I know not all thoughts are beautiful
Rather many are mundane
Yet that is hard to believe
When many of my thoughts consist of you
And therefore are inherently some of the most beautiful things to think
So I write poetry
Calling it romance
Love, the muse
Love the muse
You see repetition is my default
Systematically placing stress on one word then the other
Changing and transforming the overarching meaning
Your lips
Your lips on mine
These thoughts lie in the back of my thoughts
And are all I can think about

I do not identify myself as a black american
I do not identify myself as an activist
I do not identify myself
As anything other than what I am
Do not arbitrate my existence
It will only magnify your bigotry
Do not lecture me
It will not ratify your ministry
Do not objectify my identity
Do not marginalize my sincerity
I know your criticism
It will not dwindle me
I am defiantly deaf to it
It will not compute
Trust me
It will only intensify
What I occupy
Do not subject me to anomaly
Do not try and direct me
I will not comply
Do not concern yourself
with my essentiality
I am not lost
Do not concern yourself
With what defines me
Just ask
If I am willing and able.

I’m stuck in between
A nightmare
And lost dreams.
Caught in a place
I couldn’t have even dreamed.
Stuck in a sea of my own tears,
Burnt from the lingering touch you left on my skin.
Skin etched with only your name,
The stains of blood all over my sheets.
Dreams I’ve had for years,
All shattered with 4 simple words.
“I don’t love you.”
“I never wanted you.”
“I’m with her now.”
They're gonna say you're not worthid,
They're gonna tell you they don't care,
They'll degrade you till you break,

You err, they'll say you're frail,
You cry, they'll say you're hopeless,
You smile, they'll say you're fake,

This is our society,
No matter what you do,
What you say,

Wherever you go,
Wherever you stay,
In love or in pain,

They'll envy you,
And shatter you,
They'll say stuff that'll hurt you,

Even if you're right,
Even if  you're wrong,
They'll judge you,

Till the day you live,
After the day you die,
They'll share their sympathies but will always portray you as weak.
Let them say whatever. You know who you are. They don't need any justifications.
