I bite off rotten apples
just to have a taste,
of all the the waste
shoved down my throat.
Vision is blurred, the world spinning, my conscience thinning, help me please.
I can't think straight, why today? what did I do?
stomach weak, can't sleep. Why do I deserve this hell? can't you tell, I'm not doing well.
Headache, please leave, i'm weak.
if you couldn't tell, I have a headache and i'm kinda dying.

Coffin Heart,
Closed from danger and sight;
Protected by traps and trickery,
It was nothing but a lonely heart.

Aged and broken,
It was dry as sand,
Where no light had seen it,
In a thousand nights.

Coffin Heart,
It is found at last;
Opened and seen,
After a thousand nights.

Life filled and love seen,
It was bright as life,
Saved by hope and treats,
It was all but a lonely heart.
Even if fate did not led to us being together, what she showed me will always remain in my heart.
Mario William Vitale
A Connecticut Yankee with a sensitive heart,
a poet who is always thankful when we
comment on his creative work and polite
to others who are just beginning to write.

A gentleman and poet who enters contests
testing the waters of unknown hosts who
might be overly critical and not so kind,
Mario raises himself above the negativity,
realizing that there are ways to conquer
with kindness and truth by sharing his
philosophy throughout his groups.

Mean-spirited people are not his cup of tea,
similar to rubbing salt in an open wound,
Mario believes that there is goodness in
most people as he is an encourager who
believes in bringing out the best of his AP
family throughout the years.

If I could I would bake Mario a pizza with
everything on it except anchovies for being
so empathetic to all.

I'm mute to the content
of others misgivings

Clambering upon my
             every concern,
yet I'm deaf to their every syllable.

But in reality I don't give a flying ****...
