Ishmael
Sea and fire, rage and ire.
Truth and lie, earth and sky.
Gods and Devils, Soldiers and Rebels,
Good or bad, all things die.

I have watched gods clash,
Upon the marble streets of Athens.
And when they were done all that remained,
Was the shadow known as history.

I have seen titan’s rage,
Among the temples of jerusalem.
Lions and eagles warring,
Among burning husks of nations.

I will soon watch Giants fight,
Across all seas and lands,
They shall throw stars from heaven,
And burn the world to ash.
as i look up into the sky
i think about many things
besides the overwhelming
beauty of the stars above.
i think about how
comfortable the cooled
grass is beneath me.
i think about the sunrise
that will come soon enough.
i think about how warm i
feel even though im chilled
by the night.
but as i drift away with the
stars at the suns awakening,
i allow my mind to wander
farther and thoughts of you
fill my dreams.
O.K
dreams are such beautiful things, arent they?
raspberry sherbet
tangerine dream
on a silk of
light blue
whipping cream

edible sunset
lemon drop moon
how i wish
for a giant spoon!

but the mountains
steam with heat
so when the sunset
is complete

the piles boil
the clouds are stirred
and rendered

ashes of lavender

I wish the air was as cooling as I've described the sunset at the outset of this poem! But it's too **** HOT!

Thanks for reading!
Spellbinding alien eyes, so ******* hypnotic
Blood pressures will rise, heartbeats so chaotic
Blinding all of the guys, making them psychotic
Reminding their lies, why the truth is so exotic

Never a question, no arguments, nor a debate
She is the lesson, deep sentiments, lead to fate

One gaze, leaves a daze, an inescapable maze
Tail chase, amazing race, until the fall from grace

Either drive keeps us alive, or the will to survive
But to yearn, rather than earn, causes heartburn

So now that you've heard the story foretold
Please beware if you make her acquaintance
That if you'd like to live long, and grow old
Her virtue leads to one of many MEntal patients
It's not up to us, sadly enough, but who would want to play if they knew they couldn't lose?

No words will ever say or stay
The chilling storm
The quiet calm
Or the persistent want which cannot be reached

No
Words can only bridge those gaps
Which wish to be bridged

Because storms give way to rampant floods
Which wash away the builders hopes
When poorly built

In such instances as these
Words are not always the best way
To build and begin again
Sometimes you need to let it be. To let it wash away. To wait. To be different. For something be it anything.
Embarking on these quests in search of nothing left to own
The paths I find
The trails I blaze
May distance me from home
To shores I tread
And streets I step
To beats of strolling stone
Still muck I plod
And sludge I trudge
I promenade alone
For peaks I reach
And skies I breach
Shall be my roamin' throne

A Thousand-Mile Poem with JAC

I've only ever
lived here
Unless you count
the dozens of
people I've ever called home.

*But then again,
Home
Never
Leaves you.
The Poet JAC's work is in italics!!!

Andie
You walk in the sunlight
I dance in the shadows
Your smile brightens the day
Mine reveals the dark truths
But when we kiss, our two disparate lives
*become one
For her

Andie
My mind and heart don't like each other.
They don't agree, in fact, they rarely do.
There is one thing, however, that both do contest.
And that, my dear, is my love for you.
For her.
