Poetry is just taking

Fear
Pain
And anger
And forcing it into words

Poetry is simply taking

Sadness
Depression
And anxiety
And giving it rhythm

Poetry is merely taking

Worry
Love
And broken hearts
And making it a pattern

Poetry is taking these things
And writing it in blood
Pouring your heart out
And giving them life

Seeing you sad makes
My stomach hurt

The way it does when
I'm anxious or stressed

Chin up lil peach

I'm here for you the whole way

*And it's just the beginning

A relationship is not a form of control
No woman is obligated to stay with me
They can leave me anytime at their own expense
Free body, free spirit
I'm just here for what a man should want
A connection with great care and respect, the other things aren't as important

You say you want a woman
Yet you seem to want less,
A female who seeks attention
Through her flawless appearance.
A picture you like
Based on her womanly assets
Baby this image is imperfect
You can't see your flawed mindset.
You want a woman who loves herself
Yet has no self respect
I don't understand your logic
It sounds like you want an object.

I have kept you too long in my heart
To the point I endured all pain and became numb
I wasn't ready to give you up
Though, I know, time will come to say goodbye

I tried so many things to forget you
I pretend I didn't care, just to show I'm strong
I pretended I don't love you anymore, to ease the pain the very least
But no matter what I do, I could still feel the pain and hurt

I found it hard to say good bye
Cause you're the one I love the most
But I have to set my feelings free
Because It's hurting so much
