Sam Temple
recklessly tracing her freckles
demeanor shifts at the touch
barely perceptible shudder
and a sleepy smile
new day begins
love lighting the horizon –
twisted braid holds grey’s at bay
highlighted strips
blend with soft auburn
a slight red stain brings full lips to the forefront
love cascades from the florescent –
delicate ankles, perfectly accentuated
by the thin, black, faux leather boot
a boot which climbs playfully
up a tone and tattooed calf
love gleams as a refraction
           off the shiny footwear—
dainty fingers tickle my neck
shooting electricity
followed by warm tropical waves
falling feathers caught in a summer breeze
love sets over an ocean of blue –

I never knew it could be like this
And you may think this is just another love poem
It's about the journey of two
Of fate, destiny, or chance
They found each other
All three most likely played a part
In the meeting of these two souls
Finding happiness once again and together
A second chance
A new start
I never knew it could be like this
Everything seems more vivid
The shining sun more beautiful
Not only are great things possible
But they happen
Sometimes when you least expect it
As I wandered aimlessly
Under the cover of clouds
You were the ray of light
That shown upon me
You gave me direction again
I had been searching for so long
Not even knowing what I was looking for
Now that we've found each other
My search is over
I never knew it could be like this

Sundown in Onyx

Warning This Poem is rated Mature and may contain material unsuitable for readers under 18.

Ask if we are far along enough
now
for a close up,
when my eyes are closed
it's my heart that answers
in body movements.

So does it really matter
from whence the wind comes
who tags along with strings
and violins as long as it brings
him to me
gently.

and  gently he would come,
opens me as
soft as petals,
prying inside, branded,
as hot as a red iron
with his blushing in me.

brushing of cheeks,
in plaits of winter twine
and in my mind ,
I could not stop this soul
song from happening.

takes me into it's web of desire, and
cradles me there wet and unfolding
as a flower that
blooms in the dark dew
of June nights and gold leaves.

grasp my lower jaw and force
apart my lips, open my mouth ,
and check for teeth ,
examining the inner walls
filled with the width of the world
in subconscious whispers
slowly exploring the fit within reach.

love this body that calls for a raven
shameless and craven,
thoughts of him
black as onyx at my neck
oval as half of eternity,
there is no space
between my heart
and where this sun goes
down.

~
Until the end of the night
you will wait,
don't go away because,
because if you go
my earth seems to be small

Poor flows of air
even intensely can't bear
a little bit of oxygen
breath becomes low
seems a boat of hope
slowly drowning below

If you're in the next room
never close the window,
If I move eyes
so I can see you
you do not sleep
until I sleep

If you stay
very near my head
beside the bed
I can sleep soundly
float in the dreams smoothly

If somehow
I go out of the home
you will not close the door
stand on the doorway

If I feel
you are waiting in the shore
and for me
you never close the door
certainly I feel
you love me!
the world is suppose
to be mine

Even If I ever late
you are waiting for mate
even the darkness
comes down on the horizon
I will notice with twinkling of stars
O' darling, you wait
even though you pass
a long sleepless night
without light

So don't go away
As long as I can't come back
As long as I love you
until my last breath

AM
I drink until I forget my name but recall yours
I delete your contact but memorize your number
I hate myself because loving you was easier
I deny your love and you deny mine
I cry because you said "this is the last time"
and smile because you said that countless times

I wrote you a love letter today,

If you listen close enough
You'll hear the gentle drumming of my heart beat
Inside the envelope.

Don't drop it.
Open it gently.

Inside you will find
Chemical solutions, black
Ink on a page, a heavy handed mass
Of words, slotted carefully between each other,
Lines saturated in love.
Hand crafted works of art
An attempt to articulate and communicate
The fires you send swimming through
My veins, the tsunamis you send
Tripping of my tongue.

Scribbled confessions of just how much my body aches for your touch.

Don't drop it.
Open it gently.

It is yours.
It has always been yours.
I have always been yours.
Repost of an older poem I wrote for my gorgeous girl to celebrate it being officially published in a book! Hope you all enjoy!

beth fwoah dream
where love
is my jealousy,
where the moon
is a song of the dark,
where the moon is
me dreaming of you.

I found my soulmate,
He defines my worth in life,
My star in darkness,
That celestially gleaming,

His pure love, my sole refuge.

Fragrance was her forte,
and she wore it well.
Swaying to Fado,
eyes closed to this
unfathomable longing
delivered into song.
She stayed close to you,
scented like the flowers
she was named for,
until your knees
weakened and all
you could say
was,*Yes.
Yes, you are all
I could ever want.
Tonight, or
any other night.
Fragrant,
dancing, loving life
with every exquisite
inclination of your
beautiful, profound mind,
your lovely, ripened body.
