Can I rest even a minute?
Can I breathe even a little?
Each morning, each day,
Is ******* with things and stuff
Oh, I have to..
take care of the clothes
do the dishes
have to cook
oh, the grocery
daughter needs this
husband needs that
and many others
but have you even think
of taking care of yourself?
I cry between showers
So they won’t notice
Or even stay long in the supermarket
The only thing I can call “me time”
Can I rest even a minute?
Can I breathe even a little?
When you’re a mom, a wife
Sometimes you feel drained
Sometimes you feel frustration
Can I rest even a minute?
Can I breathe even a little?
Can I have even a day..
for myself?

beauty is not defined by
the colors of pigment you brush onto your skin
to hide what you believe are flaws.
its not defined by the fibers you glue onto
your eye lids.
nor the creams and glosses you swipe upon your lips.
beauty is not defined by the skin tones
that rest on top of your bones,
or what colors of silk lay upon your head.

beauty lies peacefully within the soul, mind, and spirit.

you are beautiful.

Judge by skin, something so thin
A mere layer of what’s deep within.
Beyond skin, beyond bone
Lurking is the unknown
Seeing beyond

If I went to heaven
I would believe
It was a dream

Maybe dreams
Make heaven
Real

Shine a light
Don't let the darkness
Fill your heart with fear

Through the dark
A candle flame
May shine a million years

Shine a light
And you do not know
What you will inspire

One day
A single candle may
Light the whole world on fire

We are both equal to neutron stars
Affected by you, affected by me
By gravity, we are bound together

But between us, is a distance so far
And a black hole so dark
I can only júst skim your spark

"BUT NO!" we say
Take whatever it may
We will stick together

If we must!
Trow solar beams
Or spit with sparks
We will gleam away the darkness

If we must!
With gravity, we´ll pull
With electrons, we would
Crush the light years between us

Because we are both equal to neutron stars
Affected by me, Affected by you
By purpose, we are bound together
A poem I have been working on a few days, I hope you will find it appealing
