I don't think that people fall out of love. That if you truly felt that way, it never changes. I think many people feel lust, and lust fades. Love can't. Love changes with the seasons, but just like the sun, it doesn't simply disappear. I fell in love with you. As sad or naïve as it is, it won't ever fade.

For you are my stars, my moon and my entire night sky.

All these words...
All these thoughts...
All these feelings...
They are born in my heart...
And a lot of them live and die in my heart...
Unjustified, silenced and oppressed.
Waves and waves of rebellions course through me
Fighting The Tyrant, Their Captor...
My heart is a prison, a seperate world
from yours and mine.
Where the silenced dead live on as Ghosts.
Ghosts that haunt their dictator
their wails of agony resounding inside my mind
at night. At day feelings of deafening defeat.
Nightmares of hellish places and
being chased and murdered, I die.
But both are feeling watched, they know it
yet continue to fight. Because fighting is all they do.
Their coldness has left my heart so numb.
Embedded in ice is you.

You started the spark
In my heart
But you never thought
It was a good idea
To put out the fire
So here I am
Left with no heart
Because you let it burn
Until there was nothing left

I poured a double
Try to forget you a while
I'll be back again
There's a glass of Lagavulin sitting next to me but you aren't and I'm still not used to it.

flying down a summer road
not an hour, your clean prison-stamped face
claims its first victim: a locust
from a Mississippi field

a dozen scorching miles later,
two dancing bees, who flew a billion miles a bucket for nectar,
smudged your double Bs, simultaneously
as if they’d made a pact to end
their busy buzzing and serve
their thankless queen
no more

next, a majestic monarch
did not understand the speed of light
the power of seventy miles per hour
or the sharp edge of your plate
against an eternal bumper

it left a stain more yellow
than red, though I have no doubt it bled
mutely, while another butterfly fluttered
faraway, wings wild against a black
ignorantly blessed sky

BRB-603,
who you massacre
we’ll wait to see
If your license plate happens to be BRB-602, this is a bizarre coincidence; I am not accusing you of such crimes

this road is weathered
but where one road ends, another starts
crossroads are measured
by the sign posts of wrong turn hearts

caution lights
the stop signs
bridge out
bumps ahead
highways divided
it's gridlock

another dead end street
and there's no u-turns

that street was better
until it came time for us to merge
a do not enter
detours where two hearts converge

he still doesn't realize
that beauty has a price

he plucks roses and
wonders why they wither
when he's never learnt
to check their roots.

with thorns between his lips,
he speaks softly about
the way love has eluded
him over the years.

his palms like written verse,
scarred and coarse, petals
falling delicately out of
time from his fingertips.

he sees beauty but he
does not see underneath

he has always been
one to see the flames
but never feel the heat.

And the tower I built
Standing strong for many years
Went tumbling down
And I was falling
I was falling

Hit the ground broken and ******
I don't know how
To put myself back together
Pieces of my life strewn everywhere
Where do I begin?
*How do I rebuild my tower?

I crawled into a new life
When maybe I should have jumped
Slowly lowering myself
Into the icy depths
When I should have taken a dive
So now here I am
Frostbitten and cold
I did this to myself

You walked by and never saved me
Because I wasn't drowning
You saw me standing in the icy water
And just assumed that I was fine
But if I had just jumped
If I had only taken that dive,
Then maybe you would have seen me drowning
Maybe you would have tried to save me.
