I ask myself, why her?
well,
i'm not entirely sure.

But if I had to honestly guess,
Maybe its the way
she stands out from the rest.

Like
the way her laugh brightens my day,
the things she likes to do and say,
the way she chooses to pass the time,
the way she looks with her eyes into mine,
the way my heart beats the closer she gets,
the way it wants to break out of my chest,
the way she just loves to feel and to be,
young, wild, & free.

How are you?
Good.
How are you feeling?
Good.

It's so **** easy to just say "good".
To hide a lifetime of worry and fear
In one simple word.
The alternative is...
Harder.
The truth
Unbearable.

To look at someone and say
"I'm worried about money"
"I haven't been feeling so good lately"
"I have fears about where my life is headed"

It's easier to say
"I'm good"
But it's not true.
I feel now, more than ever, that I need to put everything into words. I'm too scared to let my thoughts just ramble about in my head. If I make them words then I can face them.

Find it in your heart
Be that shining star
Move forward in a positive light
So you can get very far
Show your gratitude
Continue to progress
Have a vision of prosperity
Fill your world with happiness

afternoon
under heavy laden
branches
ladders kept steady
with loving hands
watchful eyes
on
little helpers
filling baskets
with only the ripest
of fruits
too sour for nibbling
just perfect
for jelly jars
and visions
of sugar plums
spread  on fresh baked bread
A humid summer day endeavor in 2008 , with  a gentleman who passed away  in July 2015.One of the ways I like to keep  memories alive .

I caught a glimpse of you by the light of the Moon
your sun shining in your dream
I followed you as far as I could
the path grew too overgrown
your steps light as a Fairy Queen in her element
I was too ponderous to keep up
the last I saw of you, 'you skipped away, and my heart broke with the coming of the light of day'

love
when
i
pray for you
my tears
make the ocean blue
this
love brand new
while
i
hold on to you

I used to be able
To drag my hand down your back
And count your bones,
Feel every bump in your spine.
I would hold your delicate frame
To protect you from the world
But here we are,
Your shoulders are strong,
From carrying the weight of your own
World,
And you're somehow protecting me.
The strangeness of recovery
is unnatural
When we grow while broken,
Like a tree bent into awkward
shapes
And twisted around it's oppressor.
But my love,
Let's regrow together.

I'm falling down,
                        down,
                             down;
                                And I know not where.
                                  All I know is that
                                     *I'm glad you're here.

i was empty
  something was missing
until
        recently
you made me whole again.

you give me physicality.

hugs and hand holds
hands holding my face

in between them.

you gave me proximity.

walking on the sidewalk
your breath lingering on my face

when you turned to speak.
sometimes our fingers grazed

you gave me love.

one cannot know love
until it is a breath from the mouth

of someone beautiful.
an old poem of mine that is slowly growing more relevant
