I met a man
with a bike
but he seemed to want
to hike
The road too dangerous to ride
the bike stayed by his side
The very sociable man
couldn't carry on with his plan

A feminine exists behind
My thick, hardened masculine side
The troubled years have taught him pride
So he keeps her locked up inside

My pretty face exists behind
This massive, burly beard of mine
It grows without needing to try
Giving me a safe place to hide

My piercing eyes exist behind
Two glass lenses with frames that shine
Tools I use to focus the light
Bending photons, clear as the sky

My tattered soul exist behind
A legion of spirits reside
Amongst djinn they are unified
In my body they crystalize

How can I be a fat hog
Whiles you suffer
I must insist
Let me make you supper
Pork and beans
By no means!!
Surf and turf
And perhaps some stew
A salad full of green leafy veggies
That should help get ya through

We’ll eat and drink
Burp and belch
Then will take a walk
For our health
I promise to share
‘Til my pantry’s runs bear
Or you eat me out
Of house and home
But at least
I’ll know
In the end
I didn’t eat alone
Suffering I won’t condone

Early morning
She asked, “what is inside your mind?”

I replied, “Beautiful You."

Really, how much?

I write, a word BEAUTIFUL
Underlined it,
That close,
You touches my life

Finally, I transferred the soul
BEAUTIFUL started to pulse
And it turned to be
A Masterpiece

Ever since.

Love from a Poets Quill,
Oh Heart, be calm be still,
flicker not as the flame,
softly sleep holding her name.

mel
there is something
about the way they leave
with hands still deep in
the heart of me
but what hurts the most
is how easy it seems, like
the effortless act of
wind uprooting seeds
i guess some storms
are born just for shaking
away what’s not deep
but the blames not on me
for seasons change and
soon spring came to
wash the blame
i bloomed
away all
due to
pain
and light
shined too
through parts i knew
you took the moment i met you
and from these holes my branches
grew resilient to the heat of june and
now they reach up to the moon
and harbor light to shine and
swoon the ones who come
to love me new but leave
me wild when they're
through i smile every
time they do as it's
your shadow
dancing

Love stood before Loyalty her soon to be husband and a chapel full of wedding guests wearing a crown of Olive leaves, dressed in light, and holding a bouquet of pink Lilies.  Love and Loyalty looked into each other's eyes and exchanged vows.

Loyalty: "My dream of making you my wife has become a reality.  I promise to hold you in my arms and keep you safe for all eternity.  I promise to cherish you and treat you like royalty."

Love: "I've been waiting for this moment ever since my heart took it's first beat.  Like Doves flying on the winds of peace I promise to uphold this marriage above the clouds of serenity."

Surrounded by all the virtues Loyalty and Love kissed.
