Whatever the need is, whatever are wishes
Whatever comes through the storm clouds
There is the promise that Jesus is power
He holds the key and hope for eternity
Being alive and wonderful in this world
Tho storm clouds linger and fears are nearby
There is a promise of comfort from Jesus
Jesus is with us to heal and bring the needs
Of a broken heart seeking healing
Whatever the times of our longing
We can lean on the promise of God
He is the answer, He is the only One
He is the King and Lord of all beings
Crying out to their God for their mercy
Look and hopeful there's truth in His message
Comfort and knowing that Jesus loves us

                          BY:  Leona Chaput
Life’s obstacles can only delay us
from achieving our God-given purpose;
instead of becoming frustrated, we
should look to Christ and just focus

on the underlying issues in prayer.
Obstacles may perfect personal traits,
like having peace by waiting on Him,
so that our hearts are not deflated.

They kick up dust, blinding our vision
whereby, we must go back to Him again;
When our eyes are focused on Christ,
He lights our path and lessens our pain.

Instead of worrying and becoming anxious,
I’ve decided to cast my burdens on Christ,
knowing that He earnestly cares for us;
employing His principles, no real strife

can ever deter us from personal victories.
We’re blessed, from persevering our trials;
for these too, will eventually leave us,
lasting but a short, inconvenient while.

"No matter how big or small the obstacles we face in our spiritual journey, as long as we keep our eyes on the Lord, we will reach our destiny that God has prepared for us beforehand to fulfill in this life, and hence inherit a mighty reward for it in the life to come. Keep your eyes in between the start and end of your faith on Jesus because He is the one who actually starts as the author and also ends as the finisher of your faith, He is able to keep you safe from the drowning of worry and unbelief by His supernatural power to stay afloat to reach your heavenly destination!" —Abraham Israel

Weeds.
Thorns.
Briars.
Cover the garden.
Hiding all that is under them.
I pull.
I tug.
I endure the noise of the machine.
To get rid of every single one.
I labour.
And then.
I uncover.
Green treasure.
Shiny leaves of green.
Soft leaves of juniper.
As two lovely bushes are exposed,
from under their long-endured
weedy cover.
Is this how it is with the trials of life?
The pain.
The rejection.
The anger and sorrow.
Like the weeds that try to cover.
The hope of tomorrow.
The weeds that try to hide.
The hidden treasure.
Of what God wants to teach me through this.

Hidden treasure.
Hidden treasure.
Of knowing He loves me all through the storm.
The hidden treasure of knowing I am His.
And because of this...
I shall see His goodness.
Because of this...
I shall behold...
Hidden Treasure.

The sky muted silver in color,
And I am still running,
Looking up from the earth's dolor.
The luminaries of the heavens
Glowing bright in appearance.
Breathless, devoted,
Twinkling at me as I think of her,
As time-worn relics shine;
Burst thru patina tints.
Smooth, burnished,
Brought to a luster again
After many years neglected in Time.
The corridors where my ancestors
Ran and run. This affected peace to me,
And I am one with them,
From this day on,  I am one.
Take me thru the years,
The key to open doors,
To another day, another way,
With hopes in tow; and  I realize this day, as I think of them…

I know I am never
As alone as I think I am.

It's time to untangle
All of the doubts that keep me down
It's time to let go of the pain, the past
All that makes me cry
It's time to venture out
To where I'll grow and learn to soar

Surely I won't miss out
All that you've planned, the best for me
I'm singing out loud, the songs of faith
Let it resound
Sunrise is calling out, “The night has gone
It’s the end of fear!”

En-route to win
Swinging through the wind
In the freedom of Christ my King

Your loving grace sparks
Like a thousand northern lights
So I won't be lost
When you are my guide
(Jesus, you are my guide)

Fuelled by Your perfect love
I’m moving up, moving up
Burden-free and ready to take off
I'm rising up, rising up
I co-wrote this with a friend starting from an object writing session around hot-air balloons and connecting it with the moments in life where we need to choose to move on.

I'm captivated and drawn in
I'm sinking under the waves anew
Yet all the while I'm watching
The light beams rippling through

I'm floundering in the ocean
I'm in doubt way over my head
No hand of yore can rescue me
I'm giving myself up as dead

I'm calling out my sins to you
I'm hoping to suffer no more
I'm waiting for the Angel to come
And take me to your shore

But suddenly I see a star
Shining brighter than before
And behold it dawns upon me
That I'm already at the shore

But not the shores of death
Or yet the shores above
No such place is there for me
For I have washed up in your love

carry me, Lord,
please carry me
pick up these feet
too tired to walk
this heart
too burdened to feel
these lips
too tired to talk
this mind
too clouded to think
my life
is at an end
and that
is where Yours
begins...

waves tossing from left to right
my hope crashes against the next wave's might
quivering in fear of what would seem
to be the end of this never ending dream
slowly but surely this life will drown
without the help of the One with the Crown
thorns of beauty, thorns of grace
these tides cannot reach the place
where souls are snatched from distress
my SOS heard, saved from opress
oh Mark, how wondrous the word of your word,
my storms are calmed through our Saviour's loud Word!
This is a poem inspired by Mark 4:35 where Jesus calmed the storm. Oh, how much will He not calm you in your storms, when we ask for it! God saved me from 10 years of emotional ******* after a trauma that I suffered. Praise Him for helping me out.

Traveller in time
If. Perfect love casts out fear , then why does so consume me ?
The mere thought severs the soul,
Starves you of rest , yet beguiles me .
Yet God is love , in him we find peace crystallised in our Lord Jesus .
He casts out fear when dawn breaks near,
To the Cross I cling , Lord of everything ,
Embraces the one who's  love is but a tear .
