.
O' Widow of the Worlds, embrace thy darkest hours.
Breathe evenings cold perfume, recall woods and flowers.

Glide proud amongst thy memories and foggy dreams,
pause pensive, gently pick a black rose for thy hair.
Give tears, settle 'pon thy fate as destiny deems,
walk through the mist and dissolve into the air.

At peace 'pon thy darkest hours,
sigh alone, a door to close,
sadness sleeps for all eternity,
the silent death of a rose.

This is a poetical community
And not a writing class
I am sure you're educated
Hell
I would surely bet your ***!
But you see
Here's the thing
You're not one of us
No not yet...
And the higher intelligence
You're trying to hold over us
Is seeming less and less...
So when you're done
Pointing out
All our writing flaws
Uneven syllables
And broken poetical laws
Maybe read the thoughts
Of talented creative minds
And try to leave your arrogance
In your sublime...

Odd color
of trifling light
Flitting petal
blue-purple-gray
emerged from asphalt's
heated slumber
to lead some airy way--

The road forgot
Sometimes there is a moment that deserves forever....

I dream of the night

That I'd sprout new wings

I'd then take to the sky

In search of new things

I'd flap them hard

I'd crest over the moon

I'd map out the stars

I'd claim the boon

But the wings, feathers they shed

More till first sun's beam

I'd falter back into this shell

Till it's time for a new night's dream

G Rog Rogers
If all the beauty of existence
were put within a song
Would it not be
the heart of woman
for it then
to be written upon?

Then all the choirs of Heaven
would sing as one

I might then hear the beauty
of the chorus as they sing
And marvel in amazement
from the deepest darkness
of this lowest place I'm in

So never quiet
an hymn of sorrow
nor despise the tears of joy
For those who
from the darkness
yet remember how wonderful life was

Memories awaken
and hope is again reborn
At that melodious
first moment
of a woman's heartfelt song

Hers is in the singing
as life is once
more renewed
Hers is in the song
as is the Heavens
eternal truth

Yes if all the beauty
of existence
were put within a song
Would it not be
the heart of woman
for it then to be written upon?

[I Love You]

Falling
         In
           Love…

It’s a different kind of love
   then that love we have
for a family member or a friend.

Saying *
[I Love You]
can be the simplest part of each day
but really
     there is nothing simple
about what the unsaid words of

[I Love You]
                                           mean…
[I Love You] means…
    I’m scared of being hurt
and
I hope that we will never hurt each other
but
I realize that there could come a time
                when I could get hurt
and
I’m willing to take that chance
and
trust that we will always find healing
[Together]

[I Love You] means…
I want to be not just your lover
     but also your true companion
that
one person who you confide everything to
and
I do realize that somethings can be hard to
                to share and talk about
and
that secrets can destroy a relationship
but
I do hope we can be honest and open
with each other
[Together]

[I Love You] means…
I don’t know what the future holds
but
I do know that I want us to find out
             what it holds
[Together]

[I Love You] means…
   I truly want your love
and
   I truly give you mine
and
   that nothing we do
will ever be done the same again
because
all that we do from here on
   we will do

[Together]

[I Love You] means…
   So much more
than just
   Those Three Little Words.

Those twin oppressors
Time and silence
Weigh heavy on my consciousness
Digging up the graves of the past
Memories thought to be dead and gone
Stalking my mind again
Reminding me of the fool I've been
The pain I've known
The wrongs I've done
And those done to me
All returned to destroy
What passes as my peace of mind

poetry does not sleep in my hand
and kindness is something I value as
half true almost as often as people
mistake what I am now
for what I will be when I
am neither magnanimous
nor synchronized
with what I was before
in the circular continuum
where I am flailing on all
edges and slopes of your sea
like a valley; on all fours,
all aspects of me
are all aspects of me
and I am whole
where I am gentle
where I am cruel
and where I, a pacifist
ignite these wars between us
I am digging these moats to embody
and receive all we drink in
each other that is chaos and peace
will always be there to refill the cup
of your heart as my purpose in life.
