I could feel the longing in her eyes
As we spoke
Each word she whispered stung and ached
Like the bite of a venomous snake
But every move she made had screamed
With unspoken apologies
Apologies for what,
I did not know.
She did not do anything wrong

I kissed someone else

And it didn’t feel wrong.
Is this what healing feels like
Falling back in love with yourself

I sell poems,
You sell honey,
Together our life will be poetic and sweet,
So hurry,
Do not tarry,
Let's get married,
And I promise you will be remembered  forever through my poems.

Soft skies, turning grey to blue
The grass outside will grow
Spinning up around our ankles
Lay back and watch
The clouds dancing in the sky
Still remember that snowball fight
I find that I don't mind sunlight
When it's with you
*******.

I've known for a while now
That I love you
I love you like the sun
Beating down with so much radiance
I love you in your sweaters
And your high heeled boots
Walking on the side of the road
Through the rain
Like it's nothing
I love you in green
And black
And yellow and blue
I love you when you're turned away from me
Doing what you love most
And I love you when you ask me
To come and sit with you
I love being with you
I love you
Every once in a while, they'll be doing something and I'll just look at them and think, "God, I love them". This is all straight from the heart. I think we're going places.

yellow roses
in my coffee

thinking of you
if I call you back
I'll keep dreaming

I don't want to be in love with you
for so long

I know that the feelings never last forever

water so cold
by the morning so warm

I don't want to know if you love me or not

there are clouds in my
glass of milk

dreamy little star

I LIKE TO SAY YOUR NAME

I like to say
your name

when you're
not here

turn you
into sound

conjure you out of
thin air

so that you appear
before me

dressed in sound
only

memory sketching in
the rest of you

as if sound
was just an outline

and love
colours you in

adding the voice last
so I can hear you say.

"Hello you..!"
and there you are

as present
as present

can be.

I like to say
your name

when you're
not there.

The world spins at high speeds
But I feel things in slow motion
I see and hear everything at once
The loud music and commotion

Guitar riffs and booming drums
I listen to them
My heart sinks and my head aches
As I wake up in confusion

Late night bad decisions
And early morning unanswered questions
Once in a lifetime confessions
Filled with lifelong realisations

Sitting on rooftops during the sunrise
The cold breeze through the trees
The green leaves tinted red from the sunlight
Silent moments of peace

All these things, all of the above
All of the things that make me feel in love
I'll love you more, each day I live through
I'll love you more when I think of you.

i reach for the curve of your cheeks
with mangled hands,
bruised and blistered
and i hope you let them stay there
i hope you don't push them away.

The colors of love
Included in our box
Of life paints
Only get more vivid
Over many days
They never fade
Or wash away
Some days the
Colors are bright
Some days the
Colors more filtered
They are always ready
As if to say
Choose me
From our palette
For us to paint
With fingers over our
Life canvas
Twirling them together
In a structure
Of some sense
To create the priceless
Piece called today
Tomorrow’s will be
Its own
Not so famous
Masterpiece
Other poets use of colors inspired me
