the small things in life are usually taken for granted

when it is cold outside, I would miss the heat
when the sun shines, I would then miss the rain

my eyes begin to see, little miracles at that moment
the smallest of things. they matter. (C) 2015

Finding Her
Cel Allarey Apr 2016
She was lost.
Lost because she forgot
Forgot because she was distracted
Distracted because she was too busy
Too busy because she attached herself to many
Many things that could never fill the void in her heart

She knew
Knew it would cost her
Her only choice was to let go
Go free in order to **find her identity.

Do not tell me
Cel Allarey Feb 2016
My lips…
Sealed as we converse
My eyes…
Closed at the sight of yours
My doors…
Barred as you knock
My heart…
Locked as you reach out

It screams,
“Do not enter”
It shouts,
“Do not think aloud”
It says,
“Do not tell me”
In deafening silence
And much irony

“Make your move,
But walk away,
Keep silent,
And turn around”

I listen closely
As your footsteps fade
Without saying, I beg,
“Do not tell me”

“Lest I melt
And unlock…”

“Lest I call
And you come back…”

“Lest I gain
Enough might…”

“Lest I fall…”
For your unspoken words
Down on your open palms
Into your rugged arms
With no way out

Dear Me
Cel Allarey May 2015
I wish I could slowly drift away
from all the pain, all the mistakes you caused me.
I wish I can put into words
all the emotions and the feelings.
I wish you could see what a mess I have been,
and I hope, though I am struggling,
you would take time to listen.
You would take time to even care.

Who are you?
What have you done?
To your desires, why have I fallen so badly?
Looking back only makes me quiver,
when I was moody, childish, immature.
Imperfect, that is what you are.
A human, sometimes careless, but always
always fragile.

Dear Me, hear me out.
Look yourself in the mirror,
this is not what you want.
The battle lies not on the outside
but is waged within you.
Before evil triumphs, darling,
overcome it with good.

Creativity starts
seeping through veins
enslaved inside
living in the deep
inside, held captive
No, not awakened,
engaged or disturbed,
roared to life,
not heard,
Until

everything changes
in a single day,
never like before
Each chain broken,
locks thrown open,
life has began
The limits,
they are forever gone.

Unfortunate
Cel Allarey May 2015
Knocking on mental arithmetic,
not always at its best these days.
There is nothing that can be put right,
I should not feel like moving on.
I am convinced,
it gives me no satisfaction.
Unfortunate.
It is hard enough to believe,
did not know that.
Had to phone a friend,
*friend did not know either.
