Take your sweetness
and bury it deep,
for now is the time
that fire is needed;
hide the tenderness
where you'll remember
to never forget, for
the only fear to fear
is the wild running
through your veins;
take your boldness,
your coffee black nerve
and steady hand squeezing
a hot coal without a flinch;
take your bravery,
your sea legs stiffened
against the storm
of indecision;
take your bright eyed stare
into the dark clouds coming,
take them and nod your head
with downturned lips
at all you were afraid to be.

Sometimes I feel so old
Like I have been here forever
Seeing same things happening over and over

And

Sometimes I feel like I am so young
Like I have all the time to figure out what's what
Discovering new things everyday

But

Sometimes, I feel exactly 28yrs old and I know that i know not enough to decide but it is still necessary to comment and have half boiled opinion.

I pull clothes from the back of my dresser, and it hurts just a little because they smell like senior year, you, and the way we used to feel.
10/7/17
The clouds feed the rivers,
the rivers are either starving
or choking - wrong pipe.
I'm reaching but never gripping,
It's soul ripping how they're preaching, yet aren't teaching.

I'll never hide,
even when I die.
I'll be immortalized
in some formaldehyde.
Where my soul and skin divide
I'll be like a deity,
the higher me,
doing the Lord's work,
hire me.

The humble apple pie
can satisfy no appetite
here comes the hunger tide.

When wings carried Icarus
through cutting winds
we were pulled feathers
of wisdom's birdy-body of ink
taking flight to Olympus planes
the son, seeks The Sun
OH-you.

I'm grown now,
dealing with chronic stress,
and I believe less in a deity,
it seems like too far a stretch
The stench from a faithless
Hopeless, homeless.

It was a quarter-to-nine
some odd Tuesday night,
on the 7th of May,
I was brought to this earth.

Delivered courtesy of mom's birth
born with a heavy crown,
worthy berth of a thorned throne,
nothing quite like Macbeth's.

Saint Andrews hospital,
honoured in the name of the apostle
and the missionary,
Cross on my chest, of course I'm on a mission.

I came through silent as the mute
nurses thought I'd never speak
But now, years of being an orator
my voice a fluent, harmonious flute.

Amplified to sing the psalms, these cries for the woeful and crushed.

Baby me never crawled, at all.
All in all, I shifted sideways for some days
So maybe I got the answers
unlike Sway Calloway.
And I finally stepped onto walking.
Tricked my tongue into talking.
I used to be King-P.D., crows and clowns
What's a crown without a Kingdom but only a throne of thorns?

Question: What is the most bullsh+t advice adults give to children?

Answer: That only strangers are dangerous.

rattling the rattle/

ridin' the saddle/

punching the polar/

boxing the bear/

now that I'm older/

my wins in the air/

the alchemist fair/

the gold ain't here/

OH YEAH.

I'm hot-and-not,

leave their heads in knots,
hotten-tot.

Murky and milky way

like waters in Dalaware

dala what you must
awe-awe.

We heating the fires/

I'm in my element/

slaughtered the elephant,

in her room/

to spring our hearts bloom.

Flowers in your rib cage/

lungs with bullet proof vest/

I'll cast the orbit/

till you can’t walk
till you are sore
yet smile when you find
a new thrill once lost
till pebbles of pleasure
part every pore
as breath of yours
traps every word
and my first name
is the last you know
till my voice is your soul
and the
sole sound your lobes yearn for
is to feel (safe and) sound

i would
rest my head on your breast, listen and enjoy
a melody composed with your words for notes
to form a wonderful harmony like you
a masterpiece

you sing ballads and autobiographies
before they created duets with mine
i listen to narratives of your dreams,
little boys who shattered your glass heart,
and things that tickle your eye-ducts
abduct your smile as tears erupt

an inner world of wishes
she deserves things of beauty
flower child,
The Nubian Queen.
