An idiot is harmless,
Until that idiot falls in love,
Then they’re willing to do anything,
For the person they’re in awe of.

Whether its building a new world,
Or burning the old one down,
They’ll stop at nothing,
To give their love a crown.

Now if that love fades,
And they are left weeping,
They could take one of two paths,
Both will leave an empty heart unsleeping.

Path one is war and rampage,
Destroy everything in their way,
Path two is depression and tears,
They may cause their own doomsday.

Either way an idiot is harmless,
Until that idiot falls in love,
And if you happen to cross that idiot,
Beware for they do not care, they are deprived of---------
i might be an idiot in love.

Bones
I guess one look was all it took,
to make me fall in love with you,
but i can't handle this right now,
because i'm too busy to love you,
But i can't help, steal looks at you,
I can't help but think about you,
I can't help loving you,
A little ago, i felt my heart grow,
and I know you're the reason for it,
I can't help it,
But, i'm so scared, to support and ask you
Over there, i don't you to not like me...
The ugly boy
saw the beautiful girl,
fell under her spell
and was lost in her swirl.
In whirling wind,
he fell into the sky-
but she was a storm,
and in passing, would die.
So then he would fall
and get caught in the trees,
to go back on loving
like the rats and the fleas.
what if i told you
that one look from you
can make my entire body
feel electric
can fill me with
such a beautiful misery

what if i told you
that you're the one
all my poems are about

you'd probably say
i was crazy

so i hold my tongue
even though my heart aches
and my fingers long
to intertwine with yours
for

    once,

   i would

love

      to be

         the poem

and

     not

         the poet
I am a monster
I have to be obeyed-
beware of my wrath
10/10/2018 - Poetry form: Haiku - I wrote this 3 days after Hurricane Michael decimated Mexico Beach, Florida. By the way, most of my haiku are 5-7-5, but they do not have to be. For example, the first place winner of the 2000 Henderson haiku contest, sponsored by the Haiku Society of America: ~ meteor shower ~ a gentle wave ~ wets our sandals - That winning haiku is 5-4-4. The poet, Michael Dylan Welch, had this to say about the matter: "With English-language haiku, you have no need to persist in any adherence to the... 5-7-5 syllables." The following link includes references from other haiku poets who support the information. http://www.nahaiwrimo.com - Copyright © Mark Toney | Year Posted 2018
