Finding little Beauty in his world he thought
Like Jason and the Argonauts

"I'll build myself a mighty Ship with words
And out of the best parts of myself select a Crew

Then we'll set sail on the Seas of Rhyme
To the Ends of the Earth if need be

We'll bring back Beauty's Crown
To heal ourselves... and the world too".
In the end
you forget the day,
the month, the year,
you even forget
why you're here,
but you never
forget
how she made you feel,

that stays real
forever.

Sat there
and stroked her hand
while she slept.

And as I traced each wrinkle,
upon every knuckle,
each told me stories.

Stories of my growing up,
that I knew,
which I’d long forgotten.

They reminded me
of my childhood mischief,
truancy and nonchalance.
They spoke to me of wilfulness.
They struck me
with shame of the audacity
and the occasional disrespect.

But I’m no longer pursuing
childish fantasies.
And I no longer see
through adolescent eyes.

So as she laid there fast asleep,
I hoped hopelessly and silently,
for her to read my thoughts
and feel my love…

While I stroked her hand
and wept.

MY DEAR POETESS

Before the Night
Placed the moon in your hair
The Sun
Shined your beauty
Everywhere!
Into my words
Dividing the seas
Drawn by Nature's
Heart felt need's
The gift of Poetry
Set my soul free
..............

P.S. Come be with me....

It is a struggle
trying to spread this light.
Win or lose
I shall stand and fight.
Causation come
from the spirits realm,
to touch the sky
we often fail.
We can reach for limits
of human birth
or spread our wings
for all we’re worth.
I do the latter
with my heart on fire.
Cause I am the road
and not the tire.

Dead ahead
The target is always
On a similar horizon
It's about surviving
Every blasted thought
More than eliminating all threats
When they strike
They form castellated holes
That network new fears
To long existing trauma
Careening off the deep seams of life
In intervals of jagged breath
I become part of the debris
A genuine tourist attraction
The size of a crater
Even after nothing else
Remains of my former self
