Swords and Roses Apr 2015
Go ahead and laugh
Go ahead and do it
Go ahead and ruin it
Destroy it
Shred it to pieces
Who needs pride anyway?
Strip it from me like everything else
Like you always do
Because God forbid you should support someone
Swords and Roses Apr 2015
Skip a little higher
while you can still skip
Run a little faster
while you can still run
Laugh a little louder
while you can still laugh
Smile a little wider
while you can still smile
Eat a little more
while you can still eat
Breathe a little deeper
while you can still breathe
Live a little more
while you can still live
Stand a little further
while you can still stand
to be around the broken
*and not become broken yourself

"We human beings spend our whole lives chasing after love. So when you find yourself in the extraordinarily rare position of being passionately loved in return by your beloved, please do not waste precious time worrying about whether their genitals are the right shape."

I am so sorry for what I have done to you.
From the on and off starving,
and to the horrible food I eat,
and even all the way back to a year ago
when I tried my hardest to cut open my veins.
I would like to apologize to my body,
Because I know I'm worth so much more than that.
I'm beautiful,
And it's about time for me to treat myself
like I am.
Oh yes, today is a good day.

Screaming in silence
Urges so strong
Inside a whirlpool
Crying for so long
It becomes clear
Death is here
E**very step of the dark, dark way

If a poet loves you,
Treasure every word
Of which falls from their dancing lips.

For they will be the one to engrave
Every syllable of your name
Into every crevice of their soul.

They will braid your everlasting joys and sorrows
Into beautiful intricate stanzas
Forever tattooed on their vibrant mind.

They will spend countless hours
Weaving together letters for the perfect "I love you"
Without ever using such words.

If a poet loves you;
You will be 'ever etched into their heart
By the ink of sweet eternity.
