Like a travelling sales man
And a toothless dragon
His back has tasted hell
With constant frantic passion

In making like a captain
And unfold you into silence
Time and risk caught face to face
In icy tales of violence

Garden of the tempted rose
Ghost hunting for salvation
In the form of the underworld
Turned its gaze into creation

White scars around him wander
Fingers scratching at the moon
Sing the song of untold stories
Creature from the black lagoon

In the dark a crowd had gathered
And all the stars were there
The hacks were writing history
The girls just stood and stared
A trio of shadows arose
But my eyes could not gauge
Till a six string crucifix
Was rising from the stage
Then the air was cut with music
Rhythmic demons from his gaze
Voltage dreams and electric themes
It was Hendrix purple haze

He took the fret board higher
And made the distortion sing
Fingers moved like lightening
Picking across the strings
We thought he was a vision
A remnant of the past
A journey back from voodoo
Enlightenment that couldn't last
His face was lit with colors
And songs a cryptic maze
He gave us soul and made us whole
It was Hendrix purple haze

The night went on for ever
Burning the scratch plate
If I don't see you in this world
In the next don't be late
Is this the electric lady land
Slight return of voodoo chile
Meeting of a vibrant soul
The resurrection of his smile
The show eventually comes to an end
The stars turn into rays
Forgotten tear, he was never here
It was Hendrix purple haze

Fanfare of monsters
A crowd of old retreats
Days that do not exist
Diamonds in the streets
Snarling foam and magic
Gusts of floating hair
Shadows of mad kisses
Black wolves and bears
Cushions of blue fire
Tears of arctic flowers
Lost in the world corner
Sea of silk heart showers
Influenced by William S Burroughs cut up machine & TS Eliot words

Ragged claws scuttling across the room
The muttering retreats of restless noon
Bracelet white and sprinkled streets
As if in a magic floor of silent seas
Fog that rubs its back upon a pillow
Among the porcelain some to follow
Like the solar apex of the sun

Before the taking my greatest flicker
Crisis though I have coat and snicker
The sunset and door yard so presume
With cheap hotels and sawdust perfume
Streets that follow time to ******
And time yet tired of market order
Like the solar apex of the sun

Would the dead come back to tell
With spit out restaurant oyster shells
My necktie taken from the eternal prophet
Hands that lift and and modest pockets
I have the dying beneath the terrace
Sleeps so peacefully without this marriage
Like the solar apex of the sun
Influenced by William S Burroughs cut up machine & TS Eliot words, around a theme of domestic violence

Let there be no mistake
No error or contradiction
It is already taking place
This is not science fiction

Wake up and look around
We already have acceptation
Everyday a little bit more
Is changing our inception

Our body parts have changed
Towards final automation
All our senses have been controlled
For our reincarnation

A telescopic vision
Storing hyper information
Mechanical robotic limbs
A cyber man mutation

I find myself alone
In a peculiar disposition
A bio chemical accident
Leaves me in this condition

With a hat and dark glasses
Trench coat pulled up collar
To cover my misfortune
The lonely nightcrawler

Foot print in the grass
I walk without a shadow
In the descending dusk
Waiting for tomorrow

The dawn onset of shouting
And someone starts to scream
The pitch fork and shotgun
Are entering my dream

Hiding in the shadows
Making me seem smaller
They will come for me
The lonely nightcrawler

I watch the flicker of lights
They are clear and steady
Blazing out continuously
In brilliant letters

Huge digital billboards
And cold electronic signs
Sending signals to the brain
Of the latest consumer designs

No time to think
No time to digest it
Keep on working
To pay for the transmit

I will buy a new car
And replace the TV
Keep the system rolling
As part of the economy

Stroll around the mall
Listen to the doublespeak
Join in with the crowd
Buy the same as last week

Buy now, buy now
Self autonomy
Buy it replace it
Its good for the economy

Goodbye for now
But you will be back
Customer loyalty
With biofeedback
Based on a short story by JG Ballard, The Subliminal Man
