I want to open your body
find your emotions
don't let me speak
I want to close your mouth shut
you move so slow
I want to replace your bones

all of my memories with you
don't hug me to sleep anymore

I'm so unhappy
I wonder
did you ever make me happy

was I in love
or lonely

It seems that the words
I've used to create a painting
has been bound by a time
that I no longer wish to reconcile
The painting, beautifully saturated
is nothing but a mere mirage
that I met in the beauty of your
summer heat

I spent last night
Crunching numbers

10
Times you led me on

9
Nights we stayed up talking

8
Weeks since you decided I wasn’t worth it

7
Crushed up poems on the floor of my room

6
Outfits thrown aside to make sure I look my best

5
Days I spent trying to get over you

4
Friends that know what we did

3
3 a.m FaceTime calls

2
Coats of mascara

Big regret

Not until you learn
To be kind to fellow man,
Who, unlike the sun,
Still has much to find
In the shadows cast by good
Intentions of will,

Can you thrive and will
Everything you come to learn
Be fruitful and good.
For in every man
Is a universe to find
That outshines the sun.

For under the sun,
Where immense heat halts all will,
Nothing you will find,
Nothing you can learn,
Competes with the heart of man
When within is good.

Man is all that’s good.
By man alone is the sun
Understood, as man
Utilizes will
And has tamed the beast to learn
To name what he finds.

In nature, you’ll find
It knows no such thing as good,
And you will soon learn
The indifferent sun
Has no heart, no soul, no will,
Near the likes of man.

In the heart of man
Resides all courage to find,
For courage is will’s
Resolve to do good,
As unlike the deathless sun:
Only man can learn.

Man has all the good
You can find beneath the sun,
For, by will, they learn.

Skin a salmon shade when she laughs.
The curly strands that frame her face
are the color of the red apple.
Her contact lenses are a bright fuchsia.
Her lips are brick red.
Her stories are tinted carmine.
Her grief is bordeaux.
She blushes in violet
and smiles in rosy pink as she
stretches her hand for a shake
and says her name is Ruby.

there is a boy
sitting solitary
under a tree

in bright sunshine
his vision is haze ,
he kept himself in masquerade ,
for long

now the cost he is paying
hiding from the world
that  was his game ,

want to leave behind
the mess he made ,
looking within the past for his gaffe .

cause he was pretender
wanted to hide in shell .

he had made a game
which is now labyrinth
killing his all instinct

he got to run from it
to save his conscience

cause he was pretender
that made his life a void

he got to run from it,
to save his conscience .

Anxiety wraps
itself around me,

like a coat that
doesn’t fit me

like a lover that
doesn’t love me

like a fire that
doesn’t warm me
I rewrote this poem because it felt unfinished.

there are so many of you
that i would love to sit down with;
maybe over a milkshake and a plate of fries;
and just talk.
i want to ask you about the boy that hurt you,
about the anger you feel deep inside
over a father who said he’d come back...
and then didn’t.
i want to run with you through pages of words and say
“oh that’s right, what a lovely metaphor.”
i want to see all your smiling faces and
thank each and every one of you for showing me kindness,
for saving my life.
i want to collaborate on novels of poetry
and laugh with you through the tears of our pasts.
so until we sip those milkshakes and eat those fries...
thank you, to
some of the most beautiful people i have never met.
to all my HePo followers/friends/ fellow poets! you have all given me a beautiful escape from Life <3
