I’m right here baby,
His eyes pierced straight through me,

Onto her.

You sparked a fire in me,
It raged for you,
The desire to keep you warm,
Show you the intensity it holds,
All for you,
Until it rained everyday.

Misery follows me like a lost puppy,
Sulking in my happiness,
A tear of happiness trickles down,
though a tear regardless.
Tears that now burn my face,
For misery draws close,
Like the saying goes misery loves company,
Looks like it just found me.

Oh that girl, the one hungry for some attention.
The kind of attention that brought danger along.
She carved herself till she met the needs of others.
A true shapeshifter.
That girl with no real identity, caught the eyes of many.
But who was she?
Nothing but an illusion,
For she simply slithered her way through life,
lonely and deprived.
Oh that girl, I pray she finds the light.
