Garden cuttings grew slowly
in my Aunt's back lawn.

She coaxed them with words
and wet tea-leaves,
watched them flourish one year
in sunlit rows.

Mum had no time for flowers,
looked warily
at this late harvest
from the Mother she adored.

Dried lavender
sifted into hand-sewn bags
we tucked beneath petticoats,
knickers, linen handkerchiefs.

Roses and pinks
filling clear glass vases,
scenting the house as though
Gran was close by,

had just stepped outside
to unpeg her washing.

When fireworks implode above us,
I understand why people say
"When I kiss you, I feel fireworks."

At first, it's like sparklers.
Small, short, but entertaining enough
to make you want to try again.

Then it gets up to firecrackers.
They get you heated, they make you
wanna throw a party.

Then they're fireworks.
It feels like you're exploding and
you can't help but be in awe.

And it's beautiful.
It's a moment you wish
you could catch on camera.

It's what keeps you waiting for
the grand finale.

It's what keeps me wanting
you.

A pebble to a mountain;
from waterfall to the sea;
What a beauty of nature,
we have obtained just for free.
Fragrance of flowers,
buzzing of the bees;
Glistening of snow,
mystical sight of horizon.
Our Earth,itself is a heaven;
Angels are the birds,
Brownies are the animals of sizes,
We on the earth is the real magic.
But far from our world,lies this;
No fracas, no false decoration,
Gift of God is just so different than what we have made it.
So enthusiastic, eye treat,
no *******, full of greenary.
Enthrals you, captivates you in its purity.
Wow, the nature is so natural.
You can't run away from nature. You inhale and exhale it, just try to feel it sometimes.

That December night happened
an act so traumatic.
It proved that humanity
had really turned pathetic.

It was a fatal wound
in the human history.
The fight she braved
will remain for more than a century.

The story of Nirbhaya,
the story of the fearless one.
Such was her fight
that she had ,both, lost and won.

How merciless they were,
those five, cruel villains.
The crime they committed
caused anger in the hearts of billions.

They assaulted.
They attacked.
With their senses drained
her innocence, they hacked.

They left her lying
bare, bleeding and injured.
Her death was certain,
that they had insured.

Her breathing became slow
but she never let it falter.
She decided to challenge fate
and fate she did alter.

She lay in the hospital
fighting for her living.
I can and I will do it,
she kept on believing.

She was an inspiration.
She was a bright light.
She made women vow
for justice they should fight.

The story of Nirbhaya.
The story of the fearless one.
Such was her fight
that she had, both, lost and won.

There is no meaning
Spare the language
Books and notes
Don't  matter anymore
No reason why
We do what we do
Nothing to fight for...
They decide who we are
Who we ought to be
While they smirk
We forget smiles
A hollow mind
A hollow soul
A hole drilled through the heart
God-sent
...
We are left sprinting
weekend to weekend

Depression is everywhere in everyone
Depression is stuck to mankind, an illness
Depression is using drinking as a way to pass time
Depression is telling you no ones going to stay
Depression is the lead to addiction
Depression is an addiction in itself
Depression is deadly

Aria of Midnight
Listening to a song you heard a million times before,
in a past not distant from your present,
but finding a spiritual connection with the lyrics,
the instruments, the singer's voice--
you find newfound meaning.

Then you realise, it is not the song,
which has changed,
but you.
