I once robbed a post-box,
& looked through letters, small & scented.
Of someone's aunt with chickenpox,
And bills handsome, from the rented.

Love letters, I had to read!
Which in boredom, my mind would feed.
Some which made my heart bleed,
An urge to send, a nervous need.

A good doctor's prescription pill,
& injections, with dread did me fill.
Thankfully illegible, so not my joy to ****.

But now, I must stop,
For reasons purely confidential.
As I catch the Postmans' beaming top,
His light bag filled only with what's essential!
A poem on a crazy idea....

Her lips were stained red,
   Her bright smile, utter dread.
      Befitting a She-vampire,
         "But tis only Beetroot, Sire!"
Looks can be deceptive,
Be always adaptive.

~°~°~°~

I am but a burden,

Fare thee well sailor dear.

May the seas harken,

To your commandeer.

When you love someone so much, you're willing to let them go, though your heart longs for them every day,
every night.

As he left for war,
with fear galore.
On the lonely streets,
She waited.

As he grew weary of walk,
  weary of war,
  & cursed his fate,
  She waited.

     As he dreamt of her,
     each forlorn night,
     when cold birthed frostbite,
     She waited.

        When winter approached,
        & food scarce,
        By the dying embers,
        She waited.

          As spring drew near,
          The springs in her heart
grew weak. On her death bed,
          She breathes her last.

              With his hand in hers,
               He waited.
On a sombre note.

Midnight
the night my life changed
i was wearing
a white dress
with blue and red
flowers

and you were wearing
well, actually
it doesn't
matter

the night my life changed
it was dark
and you were drunk
and somehow
it was my fault
this is not my story, but it needs to be heard.
