Do you hear the old gods singing?
Through marble bones
And filtered sunlight
Their semblance,
Cold and undying
Painstakingly chiseled
And forced into placidity.
Yet still they sing.

last night i couldn't sleep
so i went outside to meet
the moon and his stars

they always seemed so far away
but they understood me so well
i asked the moon about you
and he told me
as much as it hurts
i'll have to let go

and to dry my tears he explained
'little angels can't keep walking with the devil
hand in hand'

Much of our life
is in the past tense
we are held in present suspension
the future is an unknown sentence

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don’t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.

Thank you Mom, and thank you Dad,

On your belaf, every moment ive had-

To store colours and sounds, within my head;

To revel in passions unsaid.
I owe my art to my parents, who let me practice entirely own my own terms.
