BEEZEE
I have retired from temptations of attention.
I’ve retired from the need to judge.
I’ve retired from feeling like I need that moment,
And I’ve retired from feeling too sad.

I have retired into a place of contemplation —
A place nearby, and where I sit.

I have retired from feeling guilty,
And I’ve retired from needing your yes.

I am retired.
A broken heart is–

a poet's greatest treasure.

•such grace carelessly
riding•the currents of my heart
and mind•beauty of your biolumines-
cence ensnaring • my thoughts amuck and
senses blind•membranous crown bears much
truth yet laden with lies•malicious tendrils,
unassuming but ever ready•immune to
my pleas and woeful cries•how could
something so captivating... and delicate,
be so painfully deadly•

Where do you run to.
When you don't hear I'm sorry,
as he breaks your heart.

In a world full of daggers
I want to be a flower
I know I will get cut
I know I will be torn out
But how can I live life as a dagger
Without a chance to grow again
Softness is often mistaken as weakness. There's real strength in remaining gentle in a world that favours the brutal.

I asked why love should not return,
Why old flames still can’t seem to burn.
He said, “That path you’ve walked before
Won’t lead you where you’re longing for.

If the same tree appears in view,
It only means you’ve lost what’s true.
Don’t chase the past, don’t lose your way—
New forests wait for you today.”
I'm tired of this Grandpa..
