Integrity is a virtue that is a choice to learn and uphold,
Not something that we are born with

I shouldve posted this back in July but here we are...
This is something that has been weighing on my heart really...
I've honestly made strides to be a better person with better integrity in life.
I have made alot of mistakes in my life...
And there are times where I dont even feel worthy or deserving to be wordsmith. As much as I practice my craft, I always feel like I truly dont deserve the blessings I have when I think of past mistakes.
As I get older, it's really dawned on me the magnitude of my bad choices.
And I do want to work towards being a better individual.
I really fear the day where one of my bad choices will cost me all I love dearly, because now I truly understand and appreciative the writing craft as well as art in general. I've vowed to start again, I'm reading and relearning from the greats and more artists what it means to be an artist.
This one is for you, Cessna.
I made such an injustice towards you and no words can express my deepest sorrows. But know that I own up to my mistakes, my bad choice and i have learned from the very beginning again. I'm becoming more relentless in studying the written word.
I truly want to begin again...
I may not deserve such forgiveness but I wanted to make it know at least.
I'm truly sorry.
I'll keep working on myself and keep moving forward.

Amber-studded soul
Mane torn out when mad with grief
Blaze across the sky

New day, new haiku.
This one is for Elektra, one of the Pleiades.
She bore Zeus two children, Dardanos and Iasion.
I did read a variation of one of the myths, she was so grief stricken at the fall of Troy that she blazed across the sky as a comet. Another myth is her losing her son during the fall of Troy.
Either way, Elektra is a tragic character...,

Compare not
Do not come and pare down
What is not yours

In a courtroom
Judgments are fineΒ Β
Out of that, keep it to yourself

Talent is to show
Come out and shine
Latent lost, never undermine
Couldn’t come up with a title
Been writing too much !!

Shy black-eyed beauty
Star upon the mountain peak
Nurse coming herald

New day, new haiku!
Much like the Muses, now I'm doing the Pleiades, aka the Seven Sisters!
Maia is the eldest of her sisters, she was known for being shy as well as being the mother of Hermes, to which the last line alludes to, haha!
I wanted to play around with these facts in mind as always!

Lips glossed by coyness
Love and lust on her tongue's tip
Tempt flesh to flower

New day, new haiku! (Repost as HP was acting up for some reason)
This one is for Peitho, Goddess/Spirit of Persuasion and Seduction.
It's no accident that she is also handmaiden/servant to the one and only, Aphrodite.
I wanted to play around with these facts in mind.
Tbh, I'm still so and so about this haiku. As I said I try to be very careful with the words I choose for each Woman of Myth.

I saw a lavender ladder
Parked against a freshly painted ivory-beige wall

Wonder how many men climbed
Up the lavender ladder
In blue overalls

Wonder what the lavender ladder saw
At the top
Was it witness to any falls
