Part 24

B M
After long conversations and me going over it again and again in my head,
I came to the conclusion that
You aren’t good enough for me
You aren’t what I need
You aren’t the one and
You aren’t worth it
I’m disappointed that it took me this long to this conclusion
Trial and error I suppose
It’s easy to move on when there’s no feelings left
And I’m happy to report
I don’t give a single **** about you
I’m done chasing people who aren’t worth my time
It was fun while it lasted
But I don’t play games
Not with my life
One of us had to grow up
And it obviously isn’t going to be you
I rearranged the scars on your arms and formed a roadmap
I asked you to take me somewhere
                                                               and you took my finger
and you traced it down their paths
we went for a walk and
                                                                        I went every place
                                                                               met every face
that tried to rip you open
but you sealed yourself back up
and when those scars healed,
then so did you
like the time your mother left you
you left four scars on your left wrist
and later,
three more on the right
or when your father left too
you left nine scars on your leg that night
you placed them carefully in a way
so that they spelled out DAD
don't forget the time she broke your heart
you left 12 scars on both your thighs
one for every month you were with her
(you still stayed six months after that)

there is a pattern of broken hearts
but i won't be another scar.
i erased the lines on the map
                                                          we forgot they ever existed.

Just one more, she said
The pill slides down her throat
She is numb
She wants to disappear
She doesn't want to be here
Tears kissing her cheeks
Her head is pounding
She's felt this for weeks
Felt like she's drowning
She wants to escape
To find something more
Than this horrible life
She can't bare to adore
She's lost everything
She can't even feel
She has too many wounds
That will never heal
She cannot breathe
She suffocates
In a life of hate
Wondering
About her last bit of fate.

The well lit room
glows warm,
the fan, cool against my shoulder.
i've talked to you,
coffee infused lips
creamy crisp
milky flavors dance
to the fizz of my brain.
The ice, all shrunk,
slips down my tongue

with a yawn,

a warm glow
in my arms.

No
When the stars were only a fragment of my imagination, you kept me on earth. I wonder how you made me feel like a galaxy and then as little as an atom of dust. You're fire spreading through the meadow and I am the wind blowing. Your words are intangible and my mind is tired of fake things- fragments of my imagination making me soar the sky.
They're not real. We're not real.
Reality grounds me and the magnetic field keeps me down on body, but not in soul. You were an anchor keeping me still- keeping me down, and now that you're not here, my feet is still planted on the ground.
I don't know how to feel better, I just wonder for when it happens.
I guess what we had was more in my mind and it was never really in yours too
This night is too long, without you I toss and turn in hope of slumber, finding only isolation and shattering need. I ache, my heart a pulsing bruise, my body weak from all the wanting, my mind lost somewhere between your echo and the closing of the door.

I am barely here, gossamer silence wrapped in satin bows and weeping scars.

I have become my own tragedy, a lost soul wondering through darkness, chasing the fireflies of my imagination but never grasping their glow. My age leaves me weary, too many years have passed unnoticed while your hands dealt passions blows in the name of fun and inappropriate pursuits, but to what end?
My loneliness is a heavy blanket that offers no comfort, our love is a lie without remorse and you, my love, are the noose from which I will hang.
Don't open your eyes
Don't look in the sun
Don't allow your dreams to leave
As quickly as they come
The AM chime
In your mind
Is just a farce
It's still night time.
Don't leave the covers
Don't stir around
If you stay asleep, love
You're easily found
I'll be here watching
Simply admiring
The one that I'm loving
Hoping a dream
Has something to do with me
And when you awake
I'll be what you see.
So stay asleep
Leave the morning to me
I'll fix it so your waking dreams
Become reality

Daan
By the long and well-filled days
by the muddy disconnecting ways
at stars, at waves, at wind, blowing
at children, unaware of growing.

Days go by unnoticed, the distance
is not our enemy, it's fear itself who
grips the lie we call decisions.

Only if you make my insides rot
and I die from therein out, you'll
know for sure to miss me.
My pride lies in your hands
expect less, enjoy more
I'm sure to disappoint, the worse
might end up better.
