Untitled 1
JLS Goldsen Oct 2018
Let the words speak,
And tremble beneath my feet.
Let the skies rattle,
And hear my approach in battle.
The strength of this chained mind,
Has yet to be defined.
As the rust grows in passing nights,
Where the darkness reaches new heights.
Gnawing and pounding inside,
What pressure, a cry ‘nowhere to hide!’
Cracks crawling, collapsing caves casting,
This crown laid for the weak amassing.
Let the words write,
As your hymn to eternal fight.

Hope's Blossom
JLS Goldsen Jul 2018
O sweet flowers bloom,
How I wait for thee in winters moon.
Just the hope that escapes the earth,
Stem after petal of this day’s mirth.
Through you I see what my life is worth,
With you I long my impetuous rebirth.
O sweet flowers bloom,
O dear friends in gloom,
Rise up and smell the desert’s perfume!

The Mirror's End: Prologue
JLS Goldsen Jun 2018
Left said is of the simple stories unread,
Begun of tales lost and of mistakes within rot.
A flower blooms in the mist,
Open petals of human thirst,
Nourish, as the sun burnt, our seething scars learnt.
Each of each fought,
And this story witnessed by the stars,
Grows through the whistling call of the Sorrowful,
The Vengeful,
The Regretful.
All characters sought;
A kiss from the power of light, life with litigation,
Left and begun,
Battle and won, from all, anticipating admiration.
Hero, he is, to escape the soul of those that know him not.
He was everything, yet
Everything willing to bet.
The tale of called-on salvation from endless forget.
Script by the Gods, this desperation,
A play with human nature, I must mention.
He proved endearing eyes, grinning grimes,
By grain and by grain,
Destiny designs a breakable frame.
Prologue that will soon be followed by 4 parts with an epilogue.

Hopeless
JLS Goldsen Oct 2018
Bundled up in the warmth of sadness,
Familiar, kind friend holding my hands.
The window aloft, a daring chase,
Cold, shivering wind in it commands.

Lightly nudging upon my arm, the caress on my face,
Leaves blown inside, nature’s beckoning call
To live, how my mind seduced yet cannot taste,
Numb, your plea bears no witness at all.

Battled by choice and fate,
Never at a moment did I make.
Wind, your song is lost for my sake,
The grip tightens, my friend, fools’ dreams don’t wake.

Necessity of the Night
JLS Goldsen Oct 2018
You know nothing of the dark side that lays within,
Deep inside every layer of my skin.
You long to escape the torture of this system,
But we are all a player of this sin.

How does it feel chasing shadows,
Left behind the cold hands rot.
Running after that what your heart chose,
Never seeing those eyes full of your thought.

How does it feel consuming darkness,
Forgotten love has no waste.
Engulfed in bitter clouds of smoke, you remiss,
Never hearing that voice, oh so chaste.

How does it feel praising night,
Sold memories for stories, a fantasy told.
Slowly emptying the pain you could never fight,
Never tasting those lips laced gold.

How does it feel now living shadows,
Slipping through and between, frozen fingers weep.
Your tired feet, in disbelief, each time they rose,
Never feeling again the breath as we laid asleep.

Read all my words that I wrote,
And know every letter is another note.
In this song the human we evoke,
And this dark side is the grand cloak.
