You break me beautifully
split the fabricated flesh
that once felt like silk
under your soft fingers.

mat
a dance of daggers
twirling on their sterling
edge
right across my heart
Grab the child of the forlorn place
Liberation paints their heads
The gun is held as the bible mace
Freedom lives in lead

Father watches Capetown port
Batons whip their tattered cross
Yellow tags on scarred cohorts
Happy children, born of loss

Kings feast on country plates
Satiated, complacent
Place the stone on people’s fate
And bless the nation nascent
alterity and aliens
       posterity positions
           maternity for musicians . .

The name Francie works well with this poem.

You're as light as a feather,

I blow you away.
Not in my social mood

your worth is unmeasurable

its value is so high
yet so low

all it takes is
the right person
to determine
how much you’re worth

but
don’t let an unmeasurable soul
measure your worth.

don’t let one with an
unmeasurable worth
determine the value
of yours.
- don’t gift fragile hands with the power over your worth and be surprised of the repercussions.
