You came
In my life
I was glad and
Welcomed you
With all I am
I loved each day
Spent with you

Then you left
With a promise
To be back
So I waited
No matter how long

You came back
So I welcomed you
Again
With little fears
That you'll soon leave
And you really did
With the same promise
I hesistated
But still waited

Until you came back
Once more
I just accepted
With little hopes
That you'll stay

You may have thought
That it can be
Just a cycle
You come and go
Whenever you want
I wait and wait
And wait
Just like that

You may have not seen
How this turned to
Ever decreasing circles
One more turn or two
This cycle of yours
Will disappear

You'll go
(And don't come back)
And I'll be free
(Finally)
Ever decreasing circles - a phrase I learned a week ago.
Thanks again Chris Russon for the idea :)

I'll ***** the pin through the paper
to bring the light back through.
Not all darkness persists.
In our desperate cries
into the void
God does listen.
Faithful to us
until the end.

A new day again
I can't get through this alone
Please be with me, Lord

I trembled
Feared that it might be the end
I panicked at such thought
I was not ready
No please, not yet

I realized
How much I wanted to live
That although life
Can be tiring and stressful
Or Lonely and painful
Although life is hard
It will be really unfair
To already have it ended

I realized
I still want to live
Just want to share how I was scared to death last week when the cab I am in was running so fast as if it's flying and I can smell the gasoline. The thought that the cab will burn or explode terrified me so much... Then I realized I don't want to die yet.

I have changed, have you?
You hold my past against me
Can you let it go?

Almost
found a hope that prevails
reaching for me under a starlit tent
Almost
built a boat that sails
across all oceans as they bend
Almost
filled my book with tales
an anthology of moments I didn't attend

Almost
what a terrible word
holding such a stinging truth
Almost
felt like it's all worth the hurt
while wasting years of restless youth
Almost
called out and haven't been unheard
found something I couldn't lose

Almost
thought any path would get me there
where wholesomeness is not just hearsay
Almost
kept a fire in sight that brought me to where
I would find the light of day
Almost
made them proud of me, made them care
made them listen to what I had to say

And now
from where I stand
a lyrical sadness
paper in my hand
I know this is true
                                                                         I can almost see you
The chains have now been broken
From this place of no return
Your voice still echoes to this day
In the corridoors of our minds ,
Destiny now stands in wait
You took away our joy
But now the tide has turned
from your cold world now outside.
Your words they have faded
Along with your demands
Now you have gone the pain will heal ,
Those grusome cells they  are open
We will leave those days behind
You have no hold of  the fears
You created deep inside ,
Your doors have closed for the last time
Freedom is there and we move on
Far away from your prison bars.
That feeling of being set free from oppression
In its many forms .

The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.

When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.

If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.

But most people don’t see it.

Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.

The poet lives in two different worlds.
A little escape from the madness.
Or maybe, into.
