*Painted in shades that resemble your smile
Soft on the coast rests a raspberry mist
Blended in twilight’s peripheral style
Lemonade clouds oh so tenderly kissed

Lilac and rose petals color the sea
Whispers of sunset afloat up above
Such are the wonders rewarded to me
Each time I think of our beautiful love
.

*If I were a poem
I’d ask you to fold me up
and put me in your pocket,
then at the end of the week,
toss me in the wash
with the rest of the clothes

And when you find me later,
smudged and smeared,
ripped and tattered into
little unrecognizable pieces,
don’t worry about it,
I was already like that

WITH BLOOD ON ITS HOLY HANDS, THE MONSTER REACHES FOR HEAVEN AND BEGS FOR REDEMPTION
ALAS, GOOD INTENTIONS MEAN NOTHING TO A BENEVOLENT GOD THAT JUST WATCHED THE MONSTER **** THE INNOCENT IN THE NAME OF SALVATION
wicked deeds done with good intentions.

"IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME"
he screams from the rooftops

His back is turned

He hears shuffles behind him

"it is only a matter of time"
He quietly speaks to the world

He feels something creep up behind him

He sighs, for he knows what is coming

"it is only a matter of time"* his last words

Before he is pushed my familiar hands into the busy street below
Metaphors are hard
I, the star, scintillating in Morse.
Millenniums, I wait for a response.
"I love you," I cried to souls alive.
Searching for love, my heart's deprived
---------------------------------------------

Flickering, I saw you,
the dark blue,
as you cried, as you replied:
"I love you."

I, the star, scintillating in Morse
said: "Who are you?"
---------------------------------------------

Light-years, my message traveled
Millenniums, I waited once more...
---------------------------------------------

Flickering, once more, I saw you,
the pale blue,
as again you cried, as again you replied:
"Who are you?"
---------------------------------------------

Then I realized,
only on your dark horizons we met,
only when the sun has set
only on your indigo oceans do my messages
reflect.
All you did was what I did. It was never love.
Love those who accept blame
Along with the power
The greatest human beings
There in your darkest hour
Thank you to those who sacrifice themselves to get equality for ALL human beings on the living rock we call Earth.. Know that someone out here loves you for it.

In this life she is untrusting
She says she is a "new soul"
Unhappy with everything she tries
She doesn't understand the ways of people

My mother, she knows
That this is not yet her time
She is here now to get practice
For the day of her prime

I am here to watch over her
She recognizes my "old soul"
More acceptable to human nature, I am
Therefore I remain more peaceful

She will pass one day, but I do not fear
Because I know our paths will cross again
Whether it be 40 years from now or a thousand centuries
Our souls will forever remain friends.
