A phantom roams at night
outside the walls of my shelter

Its kept at bay during the daytime
hasn't the courage to face me

I feel sorry for that phantom
kept out in the darkness

But I would slay it all the same
without any hesitation.

The morning sun
     in your hair,
  a new blue dress,
geraniums blooming
  on a terra cotta veranda,
    a sparkling mimosa
  in your hand,
   pelicans float silently
  above melodic
     aqua marine waves...
Yet, all I see is your
  eternal deep brown eyes,
    for perfect beauty
  is what I seek

To make a poem is simple
All you need is

Nights of tears
A bit of blood
A lot of pain
A touch of peace
Heaps of feelings

All you need is

Pure exhaustion
Fear
Anger
Love
Sadness

All you need is

A whole load of
Emotion

Then when that explodes
Out of your body
You just need to somehow direct
All of it onto
A piece of paper

That's how you make poetry

She is so beautiful.
The way she writes the letters
That will make your
Heart skip a beat.
