I would give you the world,
But you still can't find the time.

Living words were not
Enough to destroy your walls
As we tried to build

Something better than
What we were apart, and now
Drowning in ourselves

We fly towards the
Endless horizon, the void
Claiming our small lives

As we live with what
Our pentinance holds my dear
We cannot go on

As the new day starts
And the moon bids is goodbye
We never knew us

I can't be your light
your anchor
your sun

If I go much longer,
black ink
starts to run

And yet,
doves above
singing faith and trust

but blinded am I
by the strong
hold of lust

Her fingers are freeze frame waterfalls,
Beautiful. They always find a way to glisten
even when the sun feels like sleeping in a little.

It worries me how unresponsive they are.
I just want to taste the brush strokes
until I develop a fondness for still life.

But I don’t want to look towards her eyes,
I'm afraid those will be just as dead.

Worry not
Think what you got
Forget lost
Paid the cost

You look to the clock and wait for the bell
Work set aside for thoughts of tomorrow
Unable to endure the rest of this class
This day
This year
You view high school as the dark  tunnel of your youth
And ask if there's a light at the end
You lose the purpose among other things
Though constantly haunted by reminders of grades
College
SATs
Taken over by stress
And eaten away by  uncertainty
Forced to test your comedic abilities
But
You are built with the power of strength
Knowledge
Patience
And each day you grow in these attributes
Maximize your potential
Take weaknesses to your advantage
Now, you look to the clock and wait
Wait for the future you shaped in this class
This day
This year.
