As I stand at the window
looking into the blue sky
dreaming of another time
where laughter freely flowed
I listen to the embers burning
as they cast a warm glow
My heart was hanging heavy
knowing this world of mine
Is surrounded by darkness
as far as my eyes can see
And realizing that
I had nothing to offer
for all I have to give
could never be wrapped
with a bow
Tears started
flowing down my face
My tears fresh, hot and anew
Tears of sadness
And then it came to me
not entirely nothing
a smile begins to creep
across my face once more
Nothing could compare
to the the joy and excitement
that rises within me
My strength increases
the longer I started to realized
I could give them my all
I’ll give them all I have
The true love and joy I feel
forevermore they are
the true gifts to me
that I know is real
I’ll give them my love
Grinning wide by the riverside
two bubbly girls click shots
between them whisper confide
share the secret thoughts!

The giggly cutes they walk like dance
caught in a sunlit pause
not mind the boys stealing glance
seems not worth a cause!

Their cells follow where they go
the lens beamed right on face
one more please and then one more
frames add up happiness!

I was watching the sun go down
pretty much in a fix
light was getting dullish brown
would turn darkish by six!

The urge was great surged the will
it grabbed the whole of mind
to have a photo me standing still
with the river flowing behind!

The butterfly girls in the sun's last kiss
they readily said o yes
each of them took a shot apiece
my joy you can easily guess!

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never go home again.
My room will sit unused,
A capsule frozen in time,
A snapshot of how I was.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my dog again.
She will sit at the front door
Waiting for me and wondering,
Why I never came home.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never graduate from high school.
My yearbooks will sit stacked
Stopped short of their goal,
Missing years that should have been.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my mom again.
She will sit distraught,
Planning a funeral
For a child taken from her.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my friends again.
They'll sit together, missing me.
One empty seat among them,
A constant reminder of their loss.

If I die in a school shooting
I'll never see my little sister again.
She will sit through high school
Knowing I can't guide her through,
That she has to figure it out alone.

If I die in a school shooting
My school will be stained.
Pools of students lives will sit,
Blood tattoos on the brick structures,
Marks of death ground into it.

If I die in a school shooting
Everyone will wear black.
They'll send their thoughts and prayers
To a town marred by death,
Forever to be the home of a shooting.

If I die in a school shooting
Will the world change?
Or will I become one of hundreds
Of kids who have to die?
What will it take?

If things continue this way
Children will have to live in fear.
They'll look over their shoulders
Always worried and wondering,
If they'll die in a school shooting.
The state of Florida is now home to the two most deadly mass shootings in American history. Pulse Nightclub was attacked in my city, I have friends who attend Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland. My little sister often fears going to school. I'm afraid to graduate and leave her. I want to be able to protect her if something happens. I hate that we have a reason to be afraid... That it's reasonable to have these fears. I hate it so f*cking much.

My mind to frolic, with words of Frost
Slides between and then is lost

Drifting ‘round to fellows long
My thirst is deep; desires strong

Filled with all that Maya says
Flits in and out my meddling head

And ah, when Pablo speaks of love
My heart's aflutter with pure white doves

Around the beat, who else but Poe
A deep dark place I've come to know

I stop to ponder the words worth
As if I've nursed them from their birth

I settle to hear the rambling brook
Where Gwendolyn baits my eager hook

Then ‘long comes Oscar, running wild
I listen like an eager child

When Langston paints his colored hues
His canvas fills my point of view

Not just the finest spinning me
To this state of flux and reverie

For verses drift from near and far
Forever reaching for the stars

Feeding on the gentle night
I languish in the word's delight

Finding rhyme from ‘neath the skin
The place where passion's settled in

To fill my cup, appease my soul
Till hunger's sated, fat and whole

The empty space behind my eyes
Is filled with life's sweet lullabies

And when at last, I lay to rest
I'm filled with cadence of the best

The sky's disguised
as a ******* a butterfly
writing rainbows
in everyone's eyes
America needs an inspired President
Remember you are only in the White House as a Temporary Resident
You must use diplomacy when talking to World Leaders
As a President, there can’t be any cheaters
Your tweets must be sweet
It shouldn’t be agony and defeat
Also as a President, your tweets should be morally nice
If you want, I could give you advice
Your administration should not act as if they are your personal tag team
Your temper shouldn’t be so mean
But to make your point sometimes you must be lean
You should never down immigrants nor separate families at your will
It is now a bad situation because of your signing that immigration bill
You must be accountable for your own actions
You can’t blame another past President for actions that were your start
Where you begin establishes into finish
But you blame the media for not making you distinguished
However, tip for tap, you call the Media Fake News because they are telling the truth and you know there is truth, but you fail to believe
But that doesn’t give the American people relief
As the President, you are the Commander in Chief and Ambassador to the Outer world within the United States
Your decisions must connections that relate
But your negative tongue puts America in danger and it is called Fate
The reason you don’t understand politics because you were never in politics nor were you a Senator in Senate
You rely on your own accord
But you must trust in being guided by our Lord
Now your so called “America Great”
It doesn’t have an American People Appreciation
It comes up with hesitate and no real indication
President Trump, you are not God
You are not the King on this Heavenly Earth
You were only Earthly born
Your decree is not a let be
There is a time limit and not a wait and see
Investigation must continue to make sure Justice is done
But don’t think you are number one
As the President, you must change your ways
It’s not what I want, but what the America people say.

What are you waiting for ,
Why you hesitate when everything
you’ve ever wanted miraculously
shows up
Could it be because deep down
you doubt your worth and ability
Could you often place yourself
In permanent holding patterns
because when your hopes and dreams knock,
why you shy away
when providence parts the waters
and the sunlight shines on the answer ,
Could your fear blind you from seeing it
Because
sometimes you have to quiet
your mind and dive into the beauty of love
Is there a risk,  Absolutely .....
But it’s better than circling the same things
over  and over never getting anywhere

You’ve got this love bug
Jump ...
Stop worrying about
whether you can swim
when you were born
to fly
Live your life ...take chances ...be a little crazy and fly high with love!
You just never know ;)
