"fenceless" poems
Here we go, the phone rings Won't you let me be? You never get my rhetorical questions                                                                      Anyway... Away from you, my heart sings Can't I be free? I'll be on a fenceless pasture, a horse eating                                                                       Hey, My soul yearns for only her Will not your own eyes see? Our love lacked traction and spontaneity,                                                                        a  Seattle rainy day.

Anyway...Hey, a Seattle Rainy Day
I don't know How to say That I'm okay with tearing down these fences And letting you Stroll on through Because bit by bit, As you kiss my neck, In my half-asleep stupor I hear you whisper "My sleeping beauty" And I start to forget the mirror's lies. As you gaze into my wide eyes, Turn the radio down And say it clear as the starry night, "I love you." I think there's something In me you might see. Though we're polar opposites, (You speak your mind While I think 2 or 3 times. You devour steak While I glower with hate), Our witty arguments Can't wipe my cheesy grin. So clear my head Because I can't forget How your warm arms feel Wrapped around my waist And just how great Your sweet kisses taste. Sit here in my place When the top's down on a cloudless day You're singing above the bass, The brightness showers your face Lie here in my place, While your deep stare Steals my breath away. With you, Is a good way to begin again: Fenceless.

Fenceless
I love her wild abandon So many untamed horses Fenceless and uncorralled For a while I ran with her Looking to catch her eye She just ran away Trailing laughter I heard her distant drumbeats With their sacred rhythms Deep into the earth And deep into my soul I clutch and grasp Trying to capture Midnight thistle down That dances On the warm,  invisible, breeze And where shall it land When it's slipped from my hand Taking with it All my secret dreams .....And I laugh They always dance away But I am content.... For the briefest moment I lived among the footfalls Wondering where the thistle down had gone Silently.....silently Almost unnoticed It came to rest Amidst the drumbeats..... Inside my heart Roosty

Sometimes, I wish to see myself in somebody else's shoes I wish to not be myself I wish to disappear To a place where my face and thoughts Can't be seen or heard Sometimes, I long to know What it feels like To be in my own shoes To be safe, To feel safe, in my space My fenceless shelter A home without a roof -Kaya
